Elections 2016 Democratic National Convention

This is also why you don't donate to politicians. All of Bernie's extra campaign money that was donated to him during his run against Hillary likely all went directly to Hillary.

Bernie supporters should demand a refund from the DNC since they essentially stole their money.

That's the best they've got, eh? Some pandering speeches and some illegals trying to claim it's racist to enforce immigration laws?

Might as well gift-wrap that Presidency for Trump now, libs. Condolences.

Hilary is riding a bronco, the freaks are not running the circus like the other show in town, but it is close.

I would still take Michelle O, Warren, and Bernie over coked out Guilinani, trophy wife, and Christy Creme any day.

But at some point this populist crazy train has to turn off some moderates.

How can Bernie capitulate so extensively? It's one thing to concede defeat. It's one thing to endorse a lesser of two evils. But it's a whole nother thing to go out here and pretend she isn't the epitome of everything you are describing. Just total loss of respect.

That's exactly how I feel, I thought Bernie was the only honest, not sold out candidate. As much as I dislike everything about Cruz, the man can be respected. Can't say the same about Bernie.

Whatcha think about Warren's support of infanticide, @Strychnine ? As a Christian.

As a Christian, I believe. And I'm saying this as a follower of Jesus Christ.

God does not give man things he does not want man to use.

Sometimes you have to be realistic about the situation you are in. Bernie didn't sell out; heck, I don't even think he's motivated by money nor will be financially awarded to. He had two options - behave in a way that advances the interest of Trump, or behave in way that advances the interests of Clinton. Why he is quite unlike either, he did something that ultimately advances his view of what america should be as compared to the alternative.

I don't think TCBK was happy with Cruz, please correct me if I'm wrong, I think he wanted a tepid endorsement. Which of course makes no sense. He is getting a lot on the platform and hates trump, it's the right play, and I always knew he would do it.

Here's what I don't get about Bernie or bust people. I won't support someone I agree with on 60% of the issues so a guy who I agree with on almost nothing on can win. Trump will turn over his presidency to the RNC and do whatever they ask.

Or just this

I am basically a socialist at heart just a different kind of socialist than you are.the reforms put in place under Obama after 2008 were very good, additional reforms that Clinton's wants are the logical next step not the Bernie Sanders approach of tear shit down.

I know you're fond of winging it Trump style with the incongruent rhetoric, but no, you're not a socialist.

Also, I'm a democratic socialist, as a violent revolution creates logistical tangents that can be very hard to control. However, Obama's reforms were barely of any consequence and, given both Clinton and Kaine's (who just called for further deregulation last week) statements and contribution histories, I doubt any further will come during the next several years. Also, "tear shit down" was never the strategy. Urging popular pressure on congress to concede more meaningful legislation was the strategy. However, with an executive office that is vested in maintaining the deregulated powers, such a bill is likely null anyways.

If you want a cursory insight into how still-silly our economic policy is, I suggest Money for Nothing. It's available on Netflix. It's a bit repetitive, especially when they get into the Greenspan era, but it's commendable in that it takes on a very dry, but very important, topic.
