You're right. I was speaking too harshly and absolutely.
But I have no reason to believe Trump is actually a hardliner on reproductive rights or marriage equality, both of which Johnson has unenthusiastically conceded.
Johnson is worse in that he wants to enact massive privatization and the abolition of important social programs and economic institutions, and eliminate labor rights, as well as expand the prison industry. Ideologically, Johnson is far more radical than Trump.
But your viewing those as negatives through your political lenses. Moderate Republicans are in favor of those actions because it reduces our taxation and adds to our yearly salary. Johnson allows for the elimination of religious right initiatives while allowing to keep more of our earned income -- that is something us moderate right want and thus a reason we would go Johnson over trump and Clinton. So I'm not sure where your point that mod republicans would see Gary as a worse option -- he's objectively their best option -- not your best option.
As far as trump goes -- I'm more and more inclined to say he just wants to sit in the big chair. He said pence would deal with foreign an domestic affairs -- and that he will b incharge of making America great. That leads me to believe the actual trump platform will be about free trade, reduction in taxation, increase in domestic energy production and a slew of christian right social initiatives.
