I'm getting converted as the season goes on. He's really got them playing together and trusting each other on defense, which is huge. The season turned when they started getting stops consistently. They were a little (a lot) lost to start the season.
He still doesn't really have an offensive concept, but WallGOAT is playing so well, it doesn't matter. He keeps the offense going. Brooks is playing the starters and top two guys off the bench more than I wish he would, but he's doing it because there is absolutely no depth here and as soon as there are less than 3 starters on the court, things go really bad. I also think he understands who plays well together when he does have to use the bench.
We'll see if this is just the team getting hot though, or if he really is tapping into something Whitman couldn't. All reports from the local coverage is that it's a better locker room this year. The guys liked Whitman, but he had kind of lost them by the end. Word is they've bought into Brooks.
