Celtics took my doge Smart; happy Lakers got Randle tho.

I feel like I just got a master's degree from absorbing in all that hard work

You should strike while the work ethic iron is hot and build a tool shed or go get shit done at the hardware store or something

Lakes got the steal of the draft. FO as usual coming up big.

Lakers need to ship that 7th pick and Nash to get Love.

i doubt the wolves would give up love for the 7th pick alone. ANd they sure as fuck aint giving up love for the 7th pick and the rights to have to pay the 10 million dollar corpse that is called steve nash.

It's the only offer the Lakers made so far lol Nash is more to free up salary after he's bought out I suppose.

Damn Barry's wife wasn't even hawt (LA 7, MIA 3) yet Froggy still had to betray his teammate. France man what a disaster.

There is no way the diff b/w la/mia is that big

Damn, I ended up having to miss the draft yesterday. I love Stauskus's skillset, but we needed a tough-nosed defensive guard, and we passed on Elfrid Payton to take the less athletic white guy who will probably have difficulty adapting to the NBA....again.

*Sigh* Sacramento isn't that racist, guys.

This is what billionaires are dealing with out in LA

I mean wtf is that shit. Streetwalking trannies down here in SoFla look better than that trainwreck.

Oh, also, my musing on LaVine turned out to be correct, haha. Hadn't seen him in the Top 17 on any list up until the final week or two. Goes #13. Draft Combine athletic numbers weigh heavy come draft day.

idk wtf Masai and the Raptors are doing.... blah. Hopefully the "Brazilian Kevin Durant" works out for us but damn.... it doesnt address any needs for next year.

if we lose Lowry for nothing or sign n trade him for Norris Cole we might struggle to even make the post season. Reminds me alot of when we won the division with Bosh and thought we were alot closer to being a real contender than we were. Our future now hinges on the development of JV, who im pretty confident is going to become a top 5 centre in the league and this Brazilian kid who i have no clue why we drafted or what he is really about.

Lebron James has never been the highest paid player on his team.

I think Lowry is gone but likely no longer a Heat target. Lebron loves Napier so if he's going to take a paycut to stay I doubt it will be to bring in another pg. They need a center, SG and a bench.

fair point
donaldo is like 96 though
when i was out in LA there were tons of hot chicks (obvi), san francisco had great talent too

In faust's Miami you get docked for not being a guy.

okay

I see a bit of a debate about Stauskus's athleticism. He is deceptively more athletic than you might think, and they did a piece showing some of his leaping ability back during the tournament, but for pure, factual information, here was his Draft Combine performance versus Elfrid Payton (I think there are like three other Kings fans on the board):

Nik Stauskus (SG)
Lane Agility: 10.79 (5th)
Shuttle Run: 2.92 (t-12th)
3/4 Sprint: 3.27 (t-20th)
Standing Vert: 29.0" (t-29th)
Maximum Vert: 35.5" (t-23rd)

Elfrid Payton (PG)
Lane Agility: 11.06 (13th)
Shuttle Run: 2.92 (t-12th)
3/4 Sprint: 3.23 (13th)
Standing Vert: 31.5" (t-14th)
Maximum Vert: 35.5" (t-23rd)

So Stauskus actually outperformed him in these numbers, and on the upside, Stauskus was among the worse in bodyfat percentage at ~12%, so he probably has more room from improvement simply by working with the S&C & Nutrition Coaches to gain a more favorable lean mass ratio. Payton has bigger hands, but Stauskus is taller and has a greater wingspan.

We went for offense. Nik was the most complete and dominant individual player in the NCAA 64 this last year. Payton is known for defense. One metric none of these test is strength, and strength tends to be just as important as quickness, agility, and leaping for defense. However, I think Stauskus would probably surprise us all in his strength performance relative to the rest of the class, too.

I'm building optimism.

Ever heard of an outlier? One example doesn't make it the norm.
