C'arnaud with his first hr of the season. Alex is probably touching himself to that.

Trout is really, really, really good

I knew he was good and all, but I haven't payed this much attention to baseball in a very long time

But fuck, he is good as baseballing

Most people not in the pacific time zone are snoozing while Trout does work on their favorite pitcher.

Tonight might be an exception, I don't think Dillon Gee is anyone's favorite pitcher.

McGowan looked great tonight he picked up his first win as a starter since 2008. Hoping he can stay healthy for once in his career, he always had electric stuff. Just a matter of staying on the field.

True but I remember in the all-star game when trout laced a double down the 1st base line on the first pitch from Harvey and that was really the first time that a lot of people saw him outside of highlights.

Woke their ass up.

So didn't Trout go late in the first round? Kinda reminds me of Raahgaahs, late first round pick and turns out to be the best player in the league. Why did he go so late?

Baseball different from other sports when it come to the draft. Mike Pizza was picked in the 62 round. Many other examples out there. Pizza is the craziest one.

Its 50/50 if your first rounder ever makes it to the majors.

I miss him in Chicago so much. I say it all the time, but hes probably the most underrated 3rd baseman in the last 10 years. It was always Scott Rollen this, Scott Rolen that. Aramis at his peak was a better player and has been more productive for longer. When hes healthy hes still a top 3-5 player at his position.

I agree fully. Always respected him before he signed here, hes been in the Central his whole career and was glad not to face him anymore lol. Just a case of not being on good teams overall. If he was on the Yankees he would be a god.

Right now hes healthy and its showing, the guy has been on a tear to start the year.

That was just like an angels game. Trout lead off with a double and never made it home. Bunch of cans.

Yeah baseball is different when it comes to drafting. There are so many picks out there. You can look at 1st rounds over the years and half of the guys picked there dont even get to the big leagues because of injuries or theyre just cans.

Word, I remember noticing when I was really young, that the MLB draft is screwy. NBA and NFL draft are huge occurrences, televised with huuuge media press.... but it seems like, to the average person, the MLB draft just kinda comes and goes

Crazy

Good win, Peralta with a strong 7 innings and K-Rod strikes out the side to close it out.

Hopefully McCutchen is alright (left the game toward the end, no idea why, leg injury or something)

Its because in MLB youll never hear of those draft picks for a couple years at the very least. In the NFL/NBA those guys are playing immediately. Its not the end of the world in NFL since there are more picks, but in the NBA you cant fuck up your 1st round pick especially if you have a lottery pick. Most 2nd rounders dont pan out so it makes it more important to draft well there, busts in the 1st in the NBA can cripple your franchise while in baseball its not the end of the world if other guys make it to the big leagues.

Lmao at the rangers having based loaded no outs in the bottom of the tenth and not scoring.

Ryu with another dominant performance.
