It's odd how everybody is talking about the stuff that was on Pineda's arm... but Buchholz had what seemed to be the same shit on his arm too later in the game, and I've yet to see it mentioned in an article

I kinda feel like that's why Boston is downplaying it

That, and Boston isn't going to complain about something when they have been accused for same shit. That green shit in Lester's glove last year for example.

Nobody is talking about anything other then Buchholz last year when the Pineda thing gets mentioned. I didnt see anything last night though. Im sure if there was something YES Network would have been on it or there would be a picture floating around.

The ESPN broadcast pointed it out maybe around the 6th inning. It was up around his elbow, like how Pineda had it later on. Dunno how there's nothing about it though, I figured some of the more rabid Yankees fans would have screencapped and put that shit up up online by now

I just think its funny how nobody on the Sox or any of the fans are complaining but the Sox are still being knocked for it.

classic

It was a huge deal about Pineda on ESPN radio this morning. I was just pointing out Boston didn't say anything because they have been accused before.

Nah I think it's cool that everybody was cool about it, because both teams used it on the same day lol, I just find it interesting that only the more successful pitcher has gotten the attention for it. I just wonder if Buchholz had been better than Pineda last night, would the story have flipped. Or was it just because Pineda's tar was more obvious?

They're both teams that have huge media buzz, so it doesn't have anything to do with that I don't think

It's just an interesting situation

It literally doesnt make sense that there isnt evidence of Buchholz last night or that i havent heard anyone else talk about it. Especially when u consider Buchholz has done it before.

im sure ppl were telling Farrell that Pineda was doing it and maybe Buchholz just got the go ahead lol

Lol honestly, your last point might be correct. I saw it because I had switched over from NESN to ESPN (stream was better) and right when I switched over, the commentator (the one popular dude, can't remember his name) was pointing it out, and repeatedly saying "there is something on his arm!". And this was maybe 2 innings after NESN had pointed out, and was discussing, the tar on Pineda's arm

I find the whole situation really interesting, in a cool, light-hearted way

My God..... Why is Kalish in the line up? That dude is horrible. He looks like he needs a fucking walker in left field.

It's frustrating to continue to see ellsbury get stranded on base because the guys behind him can't get him in.

Samardzija has pitched 17+ innings this season and hasn't gotten 1 run of support.

Liriano mowing down the Brewers through 3 2/3 innings, then Aramis hits a 2 run bomb off him to take the lead. Hell yeah

I miss him in Chicago so much. I say it all the time, but hes probably the most underrated 3rd baseman in the last 10 years. It was always Scott Rollen this, Scott Rolen that. Aramis at his peak was a better player and has been more productive for longer. When hes healthy hes still a top 3-5 player at his position.

ohhh Reynolds going deep too. Gotta ride this hot streak until he hits like under .200 for the rest of the year
