They got the easiest route to the semi finals, and their forward line is one of the best. Their defence is the only suspect aspect of their side, but with Zabaleta, Garay and Demechelis (he's been pretty good in the second half for City) there are a few well experienced players there.
They will face France or Switzerland right?

Yeah, assuming they finish first, they'll play whoever finished second in group E (most likely either France/Switzerland)

Would love to see France vs Argentina in last 16.

Just to butt in, you are right argentina has what looks to be a very easy first four matches but then it gets tricky.

Portugal/Russia/Belgium/Germany/Ghana (in order of likely hood) in the quarter final is at best no easy task.

Then it most likely will be Spain or Italy in the semi's...then Brazil, holland, germany final. they've got their work cut out for them.

Brazil and Spain are the clear top two favorites

I think the winner of group G (germany/portugal) has the easiest path to the semi's. Belgium/russia 2nd, then at worst they can draw france.but most likely swiss or nigeria, ecuador.

I'm 29 years old, and this is the worst argentine national squad I've ever seen. How are we the favorites to win the world cup? The teams from 94

di Maia has been one of the best players in the world this season.

While i agree with this it also helps to play alongside CR7, Bale, Alonso, Modric, Isco, Benzema and good back line. Not mention Ancelotti as the manager.

Any place I can find a list of complete rosters.

At least the ones that have been announced?

The Argentina Midfield looks weak. I wish they would take Cambiaso and Zanetti. Zanetti can be leader and a great sub. I know he just retired but he is still very fit.

The Messi-Higuain-Aguero-Di Maria attack is the best in the world at the moment. And not just on paper, they cruised through the South American qualifiers and most of the friendlies during the past few years.

They're certainly in the Big Four of candidates along with Brazil, Spain and Germany.

All four have deficiencies. Germany don't have great center forwards or defensive mids, Spain's center forwards and central defenders are suspect, Brazil have freakin' Fred as their starting center forward.

They're still head and shoulders above the rest, though.

Pretty much, what do you consider the team that have the best defense, Brazil or Germany?

Mmmm, I'd say Germany by a little.

Brazil has better names but they make more mistakes than Germany. Conversely, Germany probably has better names in the attack but I think Brazil is a little better there.

I wouldn't consider Pique and Ramos as suspect, you underestimate how solid the defence is.
