This thread inspired me to rewatch Tank Abbott fights on youtuber. Thanks TS!
Why you can watch it right here in this thread
EDIT:
Also, "Once I Was A Champion" is out there somewhere. That is more about his life. The "1" documentary is surrounding his death.
worst headkick defense everI remember seeing this in the old Dreamcast UFC game intros and thinking this is fucking amazing.

lol the fights were so much worse thoughFucking a. That was the time. When 2 juiced to the gills monsters would wreck each other with minimal gameplans. More styles vs styles, none of this well rounded shit.
Thanks Amigo! Great thread TS
Man. Evan was one of my favorites. I remember hearing when he died and it just sucked. He was a humble guy. When he whipped phil baroni's ass it was so great. Although I will always love Baroni also.
The dark ages started after this. You couldn't find vhs tapes at Hollywood or blockbuster after this one. "There can be only 1" might have been the last released on CGS for a while.around this time frame was the best of UFC in my opinion. I guess they call it the dark ages
people probably think Im being a hipster but a friend of mine fought in a couple of UFC during those years
Funny shit, iPhone turns "vhs" into "cgs".The dark ages started after this. You couldn't find vhs tapes at Hollywood or blockbuster after this one. "There can be only 1" might have been the last released on CGS for a while.
Brings tearsBack when having steroids in your Rice Krispies was the norm.

Lot of people forget the original purpose of the UFC was to see which style was 'superior'...ironically we never really learned the answer; if karate>boxing or BJJ>wrestling etc. What eventually happened was this well rounded stuff that is todays MMA.
I dont believe the UFC was originally considered mixed martial arts...it was art v art
