For those of us who are old enough to remember this card, thought id bring you back. UFC 19 "Young Guns", March 5th 1999. SEG Sports. Had it rented on VHS at the time myself.

Featured names like Randleman. Liddell. Ortiz. Maurice Smith. Pete Williams. Jeremy Horn. Evan Tanner. Mezger. Goodridge.

ahh the good old days, when media tours weren't such a big deal.

and now they are old rifles

Yep. Its crazy how time flies. Tanner is deceased, Gary Goodridge has brain damage, Chuck is punch drunk. Still love the old days though.

Pete Williams was a tough sob in his day also.

Fucking a. That was the time. When 2 juiced to the gills monsters would wreck each other with minimal gameplans. More styles vs styles, none of this well rounded shit.

around this time frame was the best of UFC in my opinion. I guess they call it the dark ages

people probably think Im being a hipster but a friend of mine fought in a couple of UFC during those years

Yep. I still say Pete Williams didnt get the credit he should have. Most fans now never even heard of him.

This was during my mma drought. It was the one and only Fedor that dragged me back as a fan around the early 2000s. Hes still my favourite today and ironically enough not because of his superb ability but who he appears to be as
a human being.

Yea. I hear that term - the dark ages. That was the Golden age. I know evolution ect ect. Doesnt matter. I started watching it in 95. Renting on VHS. And that for me is how a card should be stacked.

I remember seeing this in the old Dreamcast UFC game intros and thinking this is fucking amazing.

Yea. I watched that fight i dont know how many times. Rewinding it. You literally thought Mark Coleman was dead for a few seconds.

Back then they only had like 3 cards a year. I remember watching UFC 1-7 plus the Ultimate Ultimate in a row over and over. I never got bored watching fights like I do now.

What are you talking about UFC started when Brock came ya dumb dumb

I remember seeing that and being butt hurt. Coleman was my dude back then. That dreamcast game was sweet at the time.

Yea. Fedor was the man. I still watched much more UFC over the years than I did Pride. Only because I could never really find the pride stuff. obviously this was before iphones and youtube ect. Pretty much had to get PPV's or nothing, and without any media it was hard to even know when a card was on.
