A 16 year old girl was burnt alive on the orders of a tribal council in a region North East of the capital Islamabad. Her guilt was helping a couple elope.

" The 16-year-old girl was set on fire last week in the town of Donga Gali, about 50 km (30 miles) northeast of the capital, Islamabad, on the orders of the council, said district police chief Saeed Wazir. Police said the honor killing was ordered as punishment for what the council deemed irreparable damage to the village's reputation. Jirgas, or tribal councils, are often called in Pakistan's northwestern regions as a means of local conflict resolution, but their edicts have no legal standing under Pakistani law. "

This is ISIS level cruelty and barbarism , which is no strange to the SubContinent and not specifically Islam related. It used to be Hindu custom in Northern India to burn alive widows. Pakistan is infamous for women suffering severe burns from acid being thrown on their face . India has the same behavior but I have read more of it from Pakistan. Gulbeddin Hekmatyar was the Mujaheddin who received the largest share of CIA funding during the Afghan-Soviet war , and he was infamous for burning women by throwing acid on womens' faces for the crime of not covering their face.

It's pretty logical actually. When you believe you have a right to tell others how to live, to the point you're ready to kill them, it's just normal. It's not that much farther down on the barbarism scale than a DEA agent arresting someone for giving people with Cancer medicine.

It's the logical conclusion of having a mentality that you can force others to live like you.
