Gorilla's are vegetarians and don't have anything like the aggressiveness of chimp's.
The gorilla would be scared out of its mind and just run away, gorilla's aren't fighters because they don't need to be.
There's videos on YouTube of them running scared from geese and I can't find anything on gorilla's attacking humans eva.
If they could swarm and catch him those guys could boot stomp him to death, its not the Hulk.
Id also pick a motivated chimp to take out a gorilla of at least scare it off.
Gorilla's fear confidence look at this guy out alpha it.

Lol! Gorillas have evolved to fight other male alpha gorillas (only they get to mate).
Humans cannot hurt them readily in hand to hand, as by nature it must absorb the strikes of anther male gorilla. They have huge fangs just to fight other gorillas.
Think about what they can do, pulling themselves up with one arm. One arm chin ups are extremely difficult for humans to perform yet to a huge gorrilla that kind of strength is as fundamental as we would view a bodyweight squat. Good fucking luck stopping that.

You haven't been looking well enough. I saw a vid of a guy that was attacked by gorillas just the other day. Gorillas are very territorial and protective of their fam. They do have to gight off intruders fairly regularly.

20 of these guys couldn't beat the gorilla,let alone 12 of them.

Could 12 kindergarteners boot stomp you? You'd be rolling around laughing before you felt a thing. Gorillas have to fight other gorillas, think of the force those things would generate fighting over a mate. Look at their skulls, you'd shatter your knee stomping it before rocking that thing. Again, they have to survive the brunt force trauma of another male gorilla launching into their skulls, the forces humans can generate are laughable.

Believe it or not, I've seen this topic pop up on a few other forums. In the other forum I frequent, there was a lot of support for both sides so I'm slightly surprised the responses are so one-sided here

With access to basic weaponry, even just like sharpened sticks - the strongmen.
Without - the gorilla.
Gorillas are just too fucking strong. It's be like 12 10 year olds taking on an adult, the number advantage wouldn't really matter as the gorilla would be straight up able to kill you the second it laid it's hands on you. It'd be able to break your neck without much effort.

Also has been probably mentioned, to get as big as strongman are isn't normal for humans, our frame isn't really designed for that, those guys are probably doing a lot of steroids and eating lots of protein to get that big, hence they are lacking in other parts (like cardio, endurance, etc)
Being 400lbs of muscle is NORMAL for a gorilla, all large male silverbacks are that size, and they get that big eating fruit and plants. They do not sacrifice any other attributes being that strong because their frame is meant to be that size.
Those strongmen would be gassing out pretty quickly into the fight while the gorilla would be fresh. Humans have to make massive physical sacrifices to even be 1/10th as strong as a gorilla. That's why they woud fuck us up.

Large grizzlies can get 3/4 times the size of Gorillas, let's not even get into that argument...
When people talk about gorilas and chimpanzee fighting, people talk that they can rip limbs off,but can they do that?
I doubt,it isnt that easy to do this,people seriously overrate animals and underrate humans,I have never even seen an elephant ripping someones arm off after grabbing their arms with his trunks,much less a gorila,
