Why did you have to specify that the strongmen were untrained?

It's not like 12 MMA fighters are going to fare much better. Nobody's going to be able to armbar that gorilla, and he wouldn't even feel the hardest leg kick a fighter could throw.

Good points, not sure if any of those strong men look like they could keep away though.

Also gotta be a cut off point no matter how badass the gorilla is, it won't charge and fight x number of people, though I have no idea what that would be.

I would pick the gorilla. Of course, if twelve men were willing to risk their lives and actually fought well using smart tactics, they would win (well, like 7 of them would win).
