12 Untrained Strongmen vs a Silverback Gorilla. Which side wins?

I've seen this topic discussed in a different forum that I frequent. Interestingly enough, the responses were mixed. If you don't know what strongmen are, go watch a World's Strongest Man competition.

That's an example of how big they are.

And here's your average silverback gorilla:

The strongmen are untrained and don't have access to any weaponry. The fight is to the death. The battlefield is the octagon (bigger one).

Which side wins?

The strongmen could theoretically beat the gorilla if they all rushed him at once without fear of their own safety. But humans being humans, the ones in the front would be tentative, hoping others might lead the charge instead. Nobody wants to volunteer to be the first one to die so the other 11 can win the fight.

I think the problem is that you're pitting twelve untrained men against a gorilla who, being a silverback, probably has more than enough experience in violent altercations. That the strongmen are good in lifting and pulling things does not mean that they're good fighters. Just look at Pudz's earlier MMA fights.

Some of them will get violently torn apart in gruesome and grotesque ways, the rest lucky enough to survive the onslaught within the first minute will piss themselves, go into hysterics, and be mentally broken and incapacitated lambs to the slaughter.

yea that's the winning ticket for me as well. even if someone gouged its eyes out you still have to get within arm's distance to hurt it. and the moment you start making contact with it, it's making contact with you and biting/pulling you apart

bout the most you could hope for is to wear it out to exhaustion. animals don't have good pacing like humans do and their adrenaline can wreck their heart rate. obviously tho, someone's not gonna make it in that process

Gorillas look more or less bulletproof. I'd guess the strongmen gas out just trying to get control of the beast and are left in heaps awaiting either death or rape
