Pec feels good. Left shoulder is a little stiff. It started getting like that a couple weeks ago from pressing. I think the flys have helped my pec a lot. Back feels good. Started doing my usual lower body mobility/stretching stuff today.

Already pretty jacked again from benching. Pressing is fun and it hits the outside delt good but it just doesn't get me as jacked as benching. It doesn't hit chest and it just simply not enough weight to keep up my upper body muscle mass that I've accumulated from benching. Work sets at 220-235 just isn't enough. Hopefully, I figured out this pec issue and I can keep benching. My pecs feel great and loose. The flys give it a great stretch.

BJJ - drilled a lot of bottom half guard, which I was stoked for because that's something I've been focusing on.

Three 5-minute live rolls. Last one was against a blue belt. High school senior and HS wrestler. Big size advantage for me, but he's 18 and doesn't get tired. I hit the move of the day on him and then the little bugger tried to hit a fireman's carry on me. On me! America's sweetheart! I would have never been able to show my face again had I got AAed by a teenager, so I broke him down and laid on him in side control until the round ended. Was good victory.

BJJ - Killer Tuesday

More half guard drilling. Good shit.

Five 6-minute rounds. Death.

Will this be a #TittyTuesday or just another mid-week IG fail? Let's leave it up to the Gods...

And some caboose ... maybe.

Quick workout today as the evening got away from me.

My right shoulder hurts like hell, but it doesn't seem to be the shoulder joint. It's like the meat of my arm below the shoulder, the triceps, I guess? This has been bugging me for months now. Maybe I need some of those sweet, sweet peptides, because it makes any kind of pressing movement terrible.

A little over 13K steps.

Wanted to get some more assistance work in but I had to rush to be at my son's award banquet. He won the All Academic award(3.5+ GPA) for his 4th year straight and won the outstanding upper weight wrestler of the year. He went 36 - 12 this season and was 3 places from the state tournament while going to some of the toughest tournaments in California.

Congrats to both of you. Young man is absolutely crushing

Today is 4 years I have been alcohol free. I almost forgot but this morning I saw this:

I don't know how the artist got it exactly right but they did. It's like looking into a mirror dammit!

Went to a Muay Thai class tonight for the first time. My gym just added it so it's free for this month to try out. I went in expecting a 45 minute to 1 hour class ... it went 2 hours.

Started with some shadow boxing. (I was actually 5 minutes late and missed jump roping, although I wouldn't say I missed it... yeah?)

These were all alternating with a partner holding the pad for me and me for him.

3-minute round of just low kicks

Next four rounds were all in a row, then switched pad holder for their 4 rounds. Pad holder would take a step forward, back, left or right in no specific order and we'd follow and then throw.

3 minutes follow and low kick
3 minutes follow, jab and low kick
3 minutes follow, jab, cross, low kick
3 minutes follow, jab, cross, hook, low kick

Then we did another four rounds the same but with a body kick. My nutsack doesn't stretch that far, though.
Partner: Try to kick higher. If you land on the hip you can break your foot.
Me: If I kick any higher I'll tear my bawbag!

Then we did THREE HUNDRED knees on the heavy bag. Jesus. But don't worry, because if it wasn't your turn on the bag you could just rest ... wait, no, you did shadow checks instead. Good. Great. Grand.

It was exhausting, but fun. My kicks weren't as terrible as I expected.

The guy I was partnered with is a blue belt. So help me God if I wake up with a bruise from his kicks I'm going to Ezekiel choke him to death.

Happy Friday, savages. Let's smash this weekend to bits.

This is the cleavage I tried to post the other day:

Looks like my boy is going to be an engineer. He's going to stay home and go to our local UC for civil engineering. UC Santa Barbara was hard for him to turn down but they don't have civil engineering and he didn't want to do math proofs for 4 years as an applied mathematics major lol. The UC is only 10 minutes away so he's going to live home the first year then we are going to get him an apartment. The interesting thing is I saw him being an engineer since he was 4. With the way he liked math, legos and how he took in an analyzed information. And now here he is 14 years later starting his journey to become one. The UC he's going to is no slouch, it's ranked top 70 in the country. UC Santa Barbara was ranked 38. He's getting like 30k in grants and scholarships and since his tuition is already covered he will get to pocket that money. He also gets a monthly stipend from one of my veteran benefits. Kid has a pretty sweet set up lol. It will be nice having him home. We have a tight knit family and he likes being home. His mom is going to be doing all the cooking for him and laundry so what's not to like plus he has his own home gym instead of trying to work out at a packed UC gym.
