I don't think most of you realize this is going to a makeshift octagon with a few bleachers brought in for a small invite only military crowd.

This is going to resemble the old Tribute to the Troops shows more than it will a large scale PPV event.

Or it will be a Jeff Bezos wedding style shitshow to display Trump backing celebrities proving their allegiance.
Trump shits everyday on US troops, I highly doubt he would make such an event not focused towards himself.

Where in the White House will it happen? How many can they fit?

An event in a slum, in Chicago or Dubai or NewYork, or on the moon or at the white house it's still an event.

Location never made anything superior, only the product. I would not watch two bums fighting each others, even if they fought on the moon or in another planet.

It's a marketing fraud.

I really don't mean to turn this into a WR thread... but it really dumbfounds me when people shit on Trump's job as Prez so far. He seems to be doing pretty fucking well to me... other than the one obvious one, what are the problems he has caused or made worse or isn't dealing with? Those statements just don't seem to correlate with reality

Anyway...

Black Beast, Chandler, Kayla, Max... those are fighters that IMO should 100% be on the card

Likely they'll use the concrete pad they installed over the rose garden so Trumps heels would stop sinking in the mud. It should be able to support an Apex style event.

Yes, unfortunate as in most of the focus is going to be on toxic divisive shit about Trump and the UFC allying with him. Not a dynamic that would have happened in the Obama/Bush/Clinton years where the focus would have been more "holy shit, the UFC at the White House, how cool".
yup, Trump makes everything about himself. its pretty tiring.
i wouldve preferred the UFC at the White House before Trump was president. the amount of ass-kissing theyre going to do to him will be legendary levels of cringe

because they wont have regular people at the White House for this. theyre gonna make a few hundred seats for celebs and influencers and the ticket prices will be too expensive for most people to go.

theyd BETTER NOT make it a PPV and have it for FREE for all Americans to watch. if theyre really serious about Americans enjoying this, then its in their interest to try to get the most eyes on the product as possible. there's still a lot of people in the USA who dont know what MMA/UFC is.

they can charge PPV for people out of the country if they want

I am completely neutral on the idea. It does nothing for me either way. I just think this type of stance is odd. And purely speculative. Who knows what they'll do. I'm interested to see the execution of a goofy idea. But I don't see why someone who thinks its cool should be embarrassed lol. Thats the embarrassing stance here.

Lol opened the thread just to laugh at the pearl clutching mma fans who thinks this event will have some sort of lasting effect on America, or mma, that will last longer than a week in the media before they get bored and move on.

You're deranged

oh im not embarrassed or anything. i do think there are some parallels here with the movie Idiocracy, given Trump's conduct and behavior. but overall i think that this could be pulled off very well, if done right.

and i just have a hunch they wont make the tickets 50$ so locals can come see it. DC is too money hungry and corrupt for that, including Trump. itll be Adin Ross and MrBeast in the front row with random celebs like Kid Rock. if im wrong, that would be a good thing.

i would really like to see if Kayla/Amanda could have their fight on this card. would be very funny seeing some MAGA people pissed that there's a lesbian fighting and also lefties who would seethe that Trump is holding an event at the White House with a lesbian fighting and they had nothing to do with it. i would also love to hear some kvetching from Hollywood about how its all so barbaric so i can laugh at how out of touch they are. there's potential for some hilarious scenarios here.

Just out of curiosity does anyone know how many people will be there? what will the seating arrangement be like? I can't visualise it in my head, the problem is if there are only a few people there then it will just be like UFC Apex which is dreadful, no energy, no atmosphere, totally flat.

I can't imagine it will be open to the public for fans to buy tickets because of all the security risks etc, it would be a nightmare security wise. I am guessing it will just be Trump and some government guys, and UFC staff. The problem with this is it won't translate well to TV, it will just come off as Apex which is a horrible watch

Unless there is gonna be real fans there and the public fans can all buy tickets, I don't know.

I think it'll be White House staff, Trump's cabinet, Secret Service and/or FBI, a small group of tech billionaires, and whatever influencers Dana invites.

Yeah that's my worry, it will just come off like UFC Apex, MMA and all combat fighting sports need a lot of humans there, needs real fans that create all the energy and atmosphere and hype/buzz, without real fans its totally flat and fights for fight sake. I hate Apex so much.. its the total opposite of what UFC should be.
