Media “Jon Jones would’ve beaten Francis Ngannou” ~ Anthony Smith

Who would win if they were scheduled to fight next year?

Jones couldn't FORCE Francis to fight (during his brief 130 day championship reign) without Francis agreeing to sign a contract. Francis ultimately decided after getting offered the highest pay ever (with zero title defences) to quit the UFC.

The ONLY fight Jones states he would take at HW was for the belt. Francis had the belt, then turned down the highest pay ever to fight Jones and quit.
Jones only option was to fight the #1/Interim champ.
Again...get your facts straight.

Jones COULD absolutely force Francis to fight because after beating Stipe in 2021, he still was under contract for more than 18months, was calling for that fight, and Dana White had publicly announced Jones would fight the winner of Stipe vs Francis. There was zero obstacle, both fighters were under contract, the only problem was Jones wanting much more than 10 millions.

And the 130 days championship reign? It is 658 days and with more title defenses than Jones at HW.
Ngannou was UFC HW champion from March 37th 2021 to January 14th 2023.

I dont understand what you're trying to type. Are you justifying why Santos was brutally beaten and couldnt walk for a year after the Jones fight? Like he should get a participation trophy for that loss or something?

Fancis was champion for 130 days. He then turned down the highest pay ever to fight Jones.
When and how was Jones going to fight Francis if he quit the UFC instead of fighting of him?
you got to be trolling lol. have a good day

Lmao Jones would be shooting for takedowns in a second.

Francis by brutal ko round 1.

Francis was not HW champion for two years. He beat Stipe in March 21 and Gane became Interim champ in August of 21. Francis didnt fight again for the belt until January 22

Shortly after that, he turned down the highest pay ever to fight Jones and quit MMA

Jones could FORCE Francis to fight, when Francis quit the UFC instead of fighting him???

Anthony Smith is an utterly irrelevant has-been.

He is trying desperately to re-inject himself into the picture in any weight division, probably just trying to milk a few more hundred thou out of UFC before he retires.

STFU Smith, nobody cares or is interested in your point of view.

Jon Jones can beat any human in history in an MMA fight. He could most likely beat most fully grown adult animals, including but not limited to tigers, lions, bears, silver back gorillas, alligators, elephants etc

Maybe at 205 lbs and below but even that is not 100% guaranteed. There have been some hard hitting Light heavyweights in the past.

I can think of at least 10 Heavyweights I would favor over Jones in an MMA fight. He has literally only beat Gane at Heavyweight, a French kickboxer with very little grappling.

You did. You came in here to find out what he said
Further, you took the time to post your "apathy".

<GOT2>

Has any fighter in the history of fighting said they thought the guy that destroyed them would get destroyed by someone else? No. You cut your losses and say the guy who beat me is the best. I only lost to the best. That's the way it works

15secs of my day is absolutely nothing.

ps. fuck off. you're blocked permanently.

Anthony seems a bit dense. He should have had Jones DQ'd when they fought and milked being "champion". He could have became legendary for such a masterful troll move. He could have outright refused to give Jones a rematch. Should have lit Jones up and called him a filthy cheater without honor. All sorts of things he could have said and done. I find it difficult to relate to anyone who passed up such a golden opportunity. It was Jon Sociopath No Morals Having JONES! WTF would he let that just slip away...smh

He is really fucking dumb

I mean Smith speaks pretty coherently on his podcast, is fairly measured and so far better to listen to than rent a gobs like Ariel, Chael, Connor McGregor etc

Are all his takes correct? No. But I'd far rather listen to him talk than most who speak regularly on MMA.

Not sure why Smith has so thoroughly ruffled Doughie99's jimmies
