Social ‘I love Hitler’: Leaked messages expose Young Republicans’ racist chat

It is a little disturbing that these are young representatives from the party. I ,however, see this more as an issue that the country on a whole is heading in the wrong direction. People who have nothing can be easily radicalized. You can't radicalize someone with a full belly, a roof over their head, a bit of spending money, and a future for their kids. There are basically two paths of thought that I believe happens when this isn't fulfilled. Either, you believe the rich and wealth people and corporations are stripping the country dry or you start blaming other groups of people for consuming the resources that you feel that in "correct" society you would be entitled to. Liberals lean towards the former and conservatives lean towards the latter.
I think it's easier to radicalize people who are disenfranchised in some way, but people who are fairly well off, or even really well off, can still be radicalized. Just look at Peter Thiel. Guy's ideas are batshit and he's a billionaire. Or Stephen Miller. His dad was a lawyer and real estate developer. He went to Santa Monica High School and Duke University. Now look at him.

The "professional class" can definitely still be radicalized. All you need to do is make their position in the hierarchy feel threatened in some way. They could have life handed to them on a silver platter but they'll still feel oppressed.

@GearSolidMetal needs to be remembered when the annual War Room Awards thread rolls around. His performance ITT is a solid contender for meltdown of the year IMO. Epic panic wrestling haha.

Can't respond to anything I'm posting?
That's because I'm right & you're wrong.

'Panic Wrestling?' That's what each leftist in this thread has been doing when your hypocrisy of Jay Jones is mentioned.
Most obvious and blatant example of dick ticking in the Warroom in months.

Except nobody is defending Jay Jones but we're on like page 24 and you're still defending those 24-35 year olds by calling them teenagers etc.

he tried defending these guys by saying they were kids. When it was pointed out they weren’t, he tried saying that he’s said worse on this forum. Challenged to do so again he dick tucked and said these people were just joking. When asked to explain the joke he deflected to whataboutisms and pointing fingers at democrats for what ever reasons.

At no point has he said the people in the chat were wrong, or what they were saying was wrong.

It’s telling.

Young men talking shit and using slurs isn't new. LMAO. They didn't even bother to drop a hard R. Pussies. Everyone talks shit in private.

Yeah man, I bet you hit up group chats with your buddies all the time, dropping slurs, talking about raping people, and bringing back slavery. Perfectly normal shit for a functional member of society to talk about, am I right?

Most of the 'Young Republicans' in the chats are teenagers.
The list of 24-35 year olds have little activity in the chats, if any at all.
Every been in a group chat for months and you rarely, if ever, say anything?

'Except nobody is defending Jay Jones.'
They're defending him with their silence and not joining the chorus for him to withdraw from the upcoming election.
Even the few Democrats that have criticized him aren't withdrawing their endorsement of him.

This story about the Young Republicans Chat has received multiple times more coverage than Jim Jones in the MSM and the Young Republicans aren't even elected.

Bummer I’m just catching up on this thread now, but I’ve truly enjoyed watching all the people who were soooo up in arms about the dangers of rhetoric just a few weeks ago (when they thought they could exploit Charlie Kirk’s death to silence their political opponents) suddenly not GAF about it all, and squirm and backpedal to avoid condemning this.

These weren’t randos, these are members of a 15000 person Republican group that are aiming to be future candidates, strategists, campaign workers, and leaders in the Republican Party. Imagine doing anything but condemn this shit.

The GOP has had a massive racism problem for decades, and you are reaching an inflection point where these fascist, racist people are not going to be a fringe element anymore, they’re going to take over the party. It can’t be denied anymore.
Either you condemn this and try and stop it, or you approve of it and support it, whether tacitly or explicitly.

Besides for what @GreatSaintGuillotine already corrected you over, one of the chat members is a state senator. But that's a moot point really because you don't have to be elected to have a position of importance in party politics or in the government.

Nobody elected that Svengali, Stephen Miller. Etc.

The two most notable parts of the Politico article in the OP -

Oh so horrible.

In the 4th quarter of the article it finally admits the obvious - they're joking around.

Not dissimilar to what we've seen here in the Warroom.

Can't put that significant context in the opening paragraphs because that'll make the character assassination not as effective.
I agree with you that this is a cancel culture witch hunt, but I want you to acknowledge the real problem: You will not denounce the person who initiated the cancelling.

Gavin Wax, a Jewish Republican employed in Trump's State Department, gave the private messages to Politico.

This is the same playbook that Ben Shapiro (with the help of Kassy Dillon and Amy Faulkner) used to cancel Nick Fuentes. I have copied the video to start at the pivotal moment of this plot, in which Nick Fuentes was secretly recorded, but I highly recommend the entire interview.

These cancellings are purges by the Israel First faction of the Republican Party against the America First faction of the Republican Party. The Israel First Republican is also known as a neocon, "a liberal who has been mugged by reality". A liberal. A liberal, who embraces cancel culture in America for the good of Israel.

I am with you. I am against cancel culture witch hunts. But the cancel culture warriors of the Democratic Party are easily defeated in debate. The bigger problem is ignored. The bigger problem is the cancel culture warriors within the Republican Party, like Gavin Wax, who remain employed in Republican offices, while the Young Republicans in the group chat are abandoned. Even in this thread, you can see how otherwise right wing posters have abandoned the Young Republicans but have nothing to say about Gavin Wax. Every time this happens, left wing ideas like cancel culture infiltrate the Republican Party a little more.

What comments did the state senator make?

By 'comments' I mean jokes, because everything listed in the Politico article clearly were jokes, including the tasteless ones.

I'm old enough to remember when the left was defending a late night comedian that made bad tasteless jokes... Oh wait, that was three weeks ago.

Go ahead, panic wrestle by saying that's 'whataboutism.'

Poor HOLA. Still celebrating Charlie Kirk's murder.
