Figured. That honestly feels like the last great year for movies. Me and a buddy were talking about it earlier this week about how neither of us could think of any single year this century that was just stacked with amazing movies like 94, 95 or 99 were.
I can't answer for Billy Madison, but Mortal Kombat is legitimately well made. It's easily one of the best video game adaptations of all time.
"Mortal Kombat received a score of 34% on Rotten Tomatoes sampled from 32 reviews, with an average score of 4.4/10. The site's consensus reads: "Despite an effective otherworldly atmosphere and appropriately cheesy visuals, Mortal Kombat suffers from its poorly constructed plot, laughable dialogue, and subpar acting"
But at least it's not nearly as bad as the sequel.

WHy THe HELL WOULD YoU GO OUT OF ORDER!??! THIs IS OUTRAGEOUS'96 has already been done. It was the first year and the thread that kicked off this whole thing. You can search for it.

Oof. To be honest I don't know how to search. ITS a bit embarrassing I knowLOL. @Agent Mulder's Hair made a thread about '96. I then made about '99. And then we decided go back to '84 and start working our way up.

Meaningless twaddle. If I allowed the critics to decide what movies I'd enjoy then I'd miss out on a lot of good movies.
I barely even remember the movie, but I remember the sequel being turrible.
I gotta agree with shadow_priest_x on this, bad reviews don't make a film bad. Especially the type of film that mk is, you could make an amazing mk film but I would say it's not gonna get rave reviews. I don't think I have once used rotten tomatoes to decide if I'll watch a film'02, '03, '04, '07, and '14 are all strong years.
