would MLK be a conservative today?

I hope that trump can scrap obamacare and drain the swamp. I would like to see Obama and Hillary behind bars but I don't think I will get that. I think we should drain the universities of funding.

hi again Lex,

Mr. Trump and the GOP will certainly replace Obamacare - and i'm curious to see what legislation they'll suggest.

you should know, though, that Obamacare was pretty much written by conservatives. if you don't like it, beating up Mr. Obama for it doesn't make much sense.

you should direct your anger at Republicans.

He'd probably be alt-right.

Conservatives, or the actual conservative politicians, tend to be jackasses who don't understand reality. So no I don't think he would. But he also wouldn't side with retard feminists and cuck liberals.

So alt right is probably the closest. Liberty for all, judge a man for who he is, and reasonable immigration.

hiya Thunderflash500,

if Mr. King were alive today, assuming his perspective had evolved with the times, his worldview would probably not differ much from his friend, Congressman Lewis.

MLK would probably be considered pretty liberal, and i'd have to believe that conservatives would be slagging on him for his identity politics.

Socially: MLK might have been socially conversative at first but eventually would've supported things like gay marriage. Dude was about character, not what's on the outside or what gender you want to fuck.

Economics: Would have HATED the Iraq War and would've wanted government run health care.

2016 Election: Would have been a Bernie supporter.

BLM: Would've agreed with their overall premise but HATED how they sometimes act and the racist things they say.

So basically he'd be a common sense liberal.

He'd be conservative on some things but a big government liberal on others.

Holy hell, we agree on something. It's almost silly to try to fit historic figures into the current left-right paradigm. King would probably be called a race-baiting terrorist and an Uncle Tom depending on the reporter. I think it would probably end up something like the Boondocks episode.

hi hi hi A.S. Deep,

saying MLK would be a conservative today is a little like saying that Nathan Bedford Forrest would be a liberal if he was alive today.

In many ways he would be liberal. On health care, possibly wealth redistribution.

Maybe he would go full retard and be an sjw. I actually don't know a lot about him. What he fought for made sense. But maybe like femenists, he'd run out of reasonable causes and then just be a professional agitor communist. Who knows.

hiya there once more Lex,

when i recall my time spent at New York University, i don't recall any classes in marxism. could you illuminate me, my friend?

i don't really know what you're referring to.

your posts just seem so trollish.

You're implying that liberals want white racism so that they have a coalition of unified minorities voting for their cause of equality / equal rights... I mean... are you kidding?

Straight from Wikipedia:

Liberalism is a political philosophy or worldview founded on ideas of liberty and equality.[1][2][3] Whereas classical liberalismemphasises the role of liberty, social liberalismstresses the importance of equality.[4] Liberals espouse a wide array of views depending on their understanding of these principles, but generally they support ideas and programmes such as freedom of speech, freedom of the press, freedom of religion, free markets, civil rights, democratic societies, secular governments, gender equality, and international cooperation.[5][6][7][8][9][10][11]

Lol at posting wikileaks as your a rebuttal... a fucking definition?

The modern Democrats are just awful, racist, bigoted terrorists whose veins flow with not blood like the rest of us, but a putrid cocktail of urine and vitriol that causes them to want to rip apart the fabric of our country's social solidarity.

MLK would be in Trumps cabinet trying to fix shit if alive today.

And john lewis would call Dr. King an Uncle Tom.

This is the dumbest thing I've ever read.

hi again Lex Bigelow,

i'm just asking you to back up your assertions.

i mean, lol, every member of the Trump administration, including Mr. Trump himself, attended college...Trump himself was a the northeastern elite school -Wharton at U of Penn - he brags about this.

i see no evidence that universities are dens of marxism.

im pretty sure hed be mocked as an sjw. you know what worked and died for.

It's spot on. MLK would be glad to work with Trump.
I agree. MLK wanted equality. He didn't want a race war. Modern civil rights leaders have wiped their asses on what MLK tried to do.

So he'd work with Trump to improve healthcare and other socialist policies.

Who even knows where Trump will end up on health care.

Maybe. Trump doesbt seem fond of people who criticize him or protest him. Something MLK did a lot of with politicians. Closest thing today would be working with Sanders, and trump seems to be opposed to him on nearly everything
