I was taught all about the guy in school as a kid like he was the only person more important than Abraham Lincoln. Isn't his dream antithetical to the color coordinated race based social engineering of today's progressives?
BTW I found out that martin Luther king was also a big philanderer like so many other people like jfk . it really makes you question this whole PC paradigm. Its like how having a racist attitude is always worse than being a deadbeat dad or whatever other bad thing. If anything mlk being a tiger woods like cheater only strengthens the argument that the messages matter when the messengers are not acting like choirboys.
Would mlk want his kids to receive a race based preference or would he want to see them master their own worlds and become valuable professionals? BTW, was Ray Charles a dupe? When he sang America?
 
Yes he would be a conservative. King was for education, restraint, hard work, discipline, religion, non-violence and was above promoting victimhood. The biggest difference between MLK and the race-hustlers of today is that King did not hate the USA.

MLK also dressed well.

He'd be conservative on some things but a big government liberal on others.
 
I don't think either side could fully lay claim to him, nor would he want them to.
 
Nothing says conservative like race protests, blocking highways, and socialiam.

People were more ambitious back then. Who knows if he would have been the same if he grew up in today's age. The man loved his ladies, I could see him being happy just slinging dick on tinder and arguing in the war room.
 
MLK Jr. would be considered a sellout by some of the current moronic extremists if he tried to rise today; for advocating love, understanding, & equality between the colors, instead of simply berating white people as privileged & unworthy of being listened to.

I also think it is telling that the so-called BLM movement is mostly just a series of letters & hashtags, and not a person or people. No real resonating voices or leaders have emerged from the 'movement', largely because it is mostly just unfounded, irrational reactionism; unlike Civil Rights, which was a true cause, which thus found itself personified in the constant, shameless passion of people like Rev. King.

This gives me hope; the idea that ultimately, what humans crave & respond to even more than hatred & divisiveness, is love & freedom. Which therefore, someday, may win by outlasting. Assuming we don't all kill each other first.

just as interesting a question would be whether Ronald "amnesty" Reagan would be even considered a rhino today, much less a conservative.

my guess is that Trump advocates would cut Ronnie's head off and play soccer with it in the Rose Garden.

The need to categorize everyone as either the left or the right is getting annoying. The world is wAAAAY too fucking complex for that.

I'm one of those trump advocates that thinks he could stand to be more conservative but elected is a nice status.

I don't think doing things in private ruins a leader but it stinks when it can readily be used in a conservative. I love mlk even if he's not perfect. Sorry i m delivering pizza all night.
