In America, during the Cold War, the left was often called commies, so as to associate roughly half the population with the Soviet enemy.

along with horrible healthcare, infrastructure, overly massive military, cutthroat capitalism, massive crime rates, for profit prisons, the massively successful war on drugs, failing social programs, debt, shrinking middle class, millions living paycheck to paycheck, and lastly the amazing foolproof trickle down economics.

Never been to prison, I don't do drugs, my healthcare is great, never been on welfare, I grew up lower middle class and moved up so I don't live paycheck to paycheck. Funny how all these things tie together. You're upset because criminals, junkies, social parasites and deadbeats don't have a better deal here? Fuck out of here.

But the point is would these countries have such high happiness and quality of life ranking if they weren't socialist. Why isn't Argentina or Uruguay up there considering similar culture and demographics.

argentina more mediterranean more similar to southern italians greeks, and southern spaniards and even moroccans. This also ignore that decent size amount of people in argentina are castizos not i say more than 15% or so. There also many arabs in argentina like 3 or 4 million lebanese diaspora christians.

these lists i dont think so accurate. I say like 90% of people or 95% love they from if they are from a 2nd or 3rd world country they like there culture, race, people. What nobody likes is struggle financially. That why you can see i hear in london or many places immigrant communities stay together and not mix go home a lot but beneift from economics of the new place.

Sweden's migrant population has, and they have dropped about 5 spots in the last 7-8 years. They were always top 5 before diversity became their strength.

Would be interesting to try and gauge how much of this is due to various medications and beverages which contain alcohol. And to speculate on how high the happiness would be if the non native percentage of the population rose to be around 25 % or so. Looking at countries which large populations, say over 90 million or so, and with a distinctly multicultural, inhomogeneous mix, the US reigns pretty supremely at the top of the list. Ergo, when it comes to having a functioning country with large numbers of varying races, creeds, political worldviews and customs, noone's really doing it better than the US.
