Will Rizin become big as Pride and compete with Ufc?

They won't, and they won't come close.

A few basic considerations here: Japan isn't the biggest market for MMA, and the best MMA fighters don't live in or near Japan. Creating a situation where the majority of the best fighters travel around the world to fight in Japan just doesn't make any sense from a logistics perspective. MMA in North America (UFC, to a lesser extent Bellator) and Europe is going to have an audience. One has an audience. There isn't room there for Rizin to become the top org.

pride was a fad in japan. i dont know how all you dudes fail too see that ???

A fad that died 12 years ago still drew 27k attendance. That number is the highest in all of MMA for 2018.

MMA promotions are about fights. Show exciting fights and the fans will come. Most people could give two sheets if they are ranked in the top of their division or not. Have great fights and great personalities and we will watch. It really is that simple. UFC is pretty stale so it would be easy for any promotion with a diverse (nationally) roster to swoop in.

It’s not as simple as having exciting fights. There are intangibles, and nostalgia is one of them. Rizin garners hard one all over this forum, and the fights are possibly the least of it, although they do have some exciting fights.

ONE and Road FC have exciting fights, yet they're basically ignored. Why? They’re not Japanese.

Westerners are obsessed with Japan, and what they view as Japanese culture. Have been for decades. Any upstart promotion out of Japan with big flare will garner a ton of praise on here and be called the next Pride, up until the day they fizzle out.

If ONE can poach the best Japanese fighters from RIZIN, and have them fight in Japan, they could potentially win over the Japanese fanbase.

pride could harness foreign talent. they dont have that ability anymore.

rizin will prob do ok as a japanese org but it wont pack an 80k stadium by bringing in ex ufc/belltator fighters.

We don´t need more cage, american type unufied rules organisations.

We and MMA need strong and competitive ring and PRIDE/RIZIN rules organisation.

Lol, you are always so bitter about JMMA....fuck off already

leto is a weird Road shill because he wants Seo Hee Ham to treat him like she treats 4-4 cans in Road title fights
