Why the hype? Lee lost a round, almost got KOd and also lost to Al Iaquinta...

Why is everybody hyping Lee?

Khabib didn't lose ANY round to Barboza, and Khabib ate a spin high kick from Barboza and was not rocked. Khabib also took almost no damage from Barboza (Barboza landed only like 6 punches in the entire fight against Khabib)

Lee lost the round that he almost got knocked out in and he couldn't eat a spin high kick without getting wobbled.

He also lost to Al Iaquinta. This hype confuses me.

LOL

Who is it, besides prime Mark Hunt, that can eat a flush wheel kick to the temple without getting rocked?

FYI the Iaquinta fight was Lee's first UFC fight when he was 21 and not even two years into his MMA career.

When Khabib was that age, he was fighting no names on the regional circuit.

Neither did Lee. Lee got caught with one wheel kick, but otherwise domeinated that round with his wrestling.

and Khabib ate a spin high kick from Barboza and was not rocked.

First off, this doesn't matter that much. Lee's performance was stil more dominant in that he had better control and inflcited more damage on barboza. Also the wheel kick edson landed on khabib did not land as clean as he landed on Lee.

Khabib also took almost no damage from Barboza (Barboza landed only like 6 punches in the entire fight against Khabib)

Thats because Khabib did not entertain the standup as much as Lee. When Khabib did stand up he looked like horseshit with zero technique, chin exposed, and lunging shots. Lee actually surprised me in landing some clean combiations and some very hard body kicks which hurt edson. Also Edson landed 25 strikes on Khabib

Are you criticizing a man for not being able to eat a spinning high kick from Edson barboza. Barboza is a black belt in taekwondo and black praijed in Muay Thai, along with the best kicks in all MMA being the first person to ever land a wheel kick KO, and you are criticizing Lee for being wobbled by it. That wheel kick landed clean and he shouldve been KO'd, so if anything im impressed that Lee was able o survive that kcik and get his whereabouts to the point where he won the round with his wrestling. It showed heart, fight IQ, and determination.
