WB most notable wins : Ellenberger, pre MW Whittaker, Hendrick, Masvidal, Rory, Luque, Neal

Machida most notabel wins : Bonnar, Franklin, Rashad, Mousasi, Tito, Shogun (controversial), Aging Hendo

We have to put context into those wins : Whittaker was a great win but he was not the Bobby Knuckles we know now. Shogun would have been a great win if it was not tainted by the horrendus decision. Hendo was on the downside of his career, this is clear as well.

Kinda weird comparing a MW/LHW resume to a WW resume.

Since MW and LHW's are bigger and stronger I'd say Machida.

Wonderboy is only relevant on Sherdog, where he’s treated like he’s a Jon Jones or GSP-type of legend.

Machida and not even freaking close. And Machida never at any point tried to cherry pick non-wrestlers like Thompson either, which is ridiculous.

Fought better competition, better wins, better accomplishments, and a better fighter.

Machida for sure, you also missed some good fighters he beat on your list such as Randy, Belfort, Thiago Silva and Bader and others who are all very good fighters

Also, this is a bit misleading. You are talking about Hendo on the downside of his career, but he wasn't. He was on a four fight winning streak with wins over Fedor and Shogun.

On the other hand, though you don't mention it, Ellenberger and Hendricks were arguably the most washed up fighters in the history of MMA, which is like 1/3 of his wins listed.

I do like them both, followed them from the start, Machida even before UFC, but it's clear who is a better fighter with better accomplishments, wins and skills, and it's not the guy who at any point of his career, sounded entitled enough to demand cherry picking fights against non-wrestlers.
