Casino for me. I know there are other movies on the list that are technically better, but I can catch Casino on TV at any point in the movie and immediately get sucked in. Goodfellas is like that also for me, but not in the same level.

Man looking at this list made me feel old. Most of these movies are over 20 years old.

Godfather is excellent but your point isn't one I'll disregard. It literally makes out the Corleone family to be some sort off anti-heroes, with their storybook honor code amongst thieves and Vito's staunch refusal to participate in drug trafficking (if I'm even recalling it correctly). In reality, we know these guys are all brought up into a world which embraces womanizing (so long as they aren't your family), profit at all costs, and betrayal masked as ambition. They're all scum, by and large.

The scene of Tommy getting shot is one of the best scenes in movie history.

You see him walk in the non descript room and then it sinks in to you
then it sinks into him but he is shot dead before he can get more than "oh no" out.
