What is the Difference Between Sambo and Wrestling?

Most sambists have a background in wrestling. It's a stupid argument that Chael's making.

Sambo is superior because it incorporates wrestling and then some. Many are trained in freestyle wrestling and judo.

It's like BJJ except it's difficult.

Also the competition pool isn't politically catered to just Brazilians and a couple Americans. They actually have competitors from all over the world. And unlike BJJ, there's usually one rep per country (or a small number) and not like you get 10 guys from Brazil, so no matter what a Brazilian ends up winning and they hardly ever invite grapplers from Russian, Iran, Cuba, Armenia, etc who are the dominant grappling nations. And BJJ has like 5 "world championships". Competitive BJJ is a farce.
