Dog the Bounty Hunter says he has joined the manhunt for fugitive Shawn Christy, who is accused of threatening President Donald Trump.

Duane Chapman told the Mansfield News Journal on Wednesday he was retained by a friend of the Christy family.

Chapman, who was already expected to be in Mansfield on Sept. 28 to talk about recovery, said he has "a very hot lead."

Christy, 26, of McAdoo, Pa., is wanted for threatening to harm and/or kill a police chief, other law enforcement officers, a district attorney and Trump.

Christy is accused of posting threats to Facebook between June 3 and 12, 2018, saying he was going to shoot Trump in the head, and was going to use "lethal force" on any law enforcement officer attempting to detain him.

A federal arrest warrant was issued for Christy on June 19th.

The search for Christy recently extended to Ohio after State Highway Patrol officers found a truck wrecked on Interstate 71 near Mansfield Sunday afternoon.

Police believe the vehicle was one Christy stole from Luzerne County.

"I have delivered messages to him," Chapman told the Mansfield News Journal. "My goal is not to shoot him but get him to surrender."

The more i read on it the more i think its a completely new area -- the 4 years are still on the table but he has to cooperate in busting other people? I initially thought he got off because of name value but there is a major caveat to this which is interesting or could be completely fucked up. Well I doubt they'd ever explicitly justify it on the grounds of his name value so even if his name value was the reason they'd have to come up with something else. This caveat just sounds like their excuse for it.

There are only like 5 or 6 posts that I've ever seen on Sherdog that were genuinely disgusting and made me think the person who wrote them was seriously disturbed. AlanB wrote one of those posts. It's pretty rare for somebody to be that demented in a serious way on here.

@BjPenn2017 They’re unrelated cases. Was it even in the same state? It would be different if he maximum sentences were more lenient for murder than battery and assault. Some assholes get lucky. War Machine didn’t. Doesn’t make him less of an asshole.
