This could be really huge. If this works, this would be a great model for all as we move forward. Freedom loving people the world over should pay close attention to how this plays out. I will be.

Yesterday kicked off a two day diplomatic visit between the leaders of Venezuela and Palestine.

The first item on the agenda was the signing of an agreement to create a bi-national bank to fund infrastructure, technology, and industry between the two countries....

Newly re-elected Palestinian leader, Mahmoud Abbas landed in Caracas last night for a two-day diplomatic stay in Venezuela and already he and President Nicolas Maduro have signed an accord to create the binational bank to fund technological and industrial initiatives between the two countries.

During the same meeting Venezuelan minister of tourism Marlenys Contreras and Palestinian director general of international cooperation, Imad Zuhairi agreed to bilateral tourism and hotel projects.

Today’s session at the Miraflores Palace in Caracas also established an agreement to begin a Venezuela-Palestine business council to expand economic, banking, trade and financial cooperation among the countries.

Both countries already maintain several accords in the areas of education, trade, energy, agriculture, culture, communication, sports, defense, security and health since 2009.

Maduro told Abbas during their meeting “the sovereign and free Venezuela is dedicated to the cause of a free, independent, sovereign and peaceful Palestine.” The Palestinian president thanked Maduro for defending his country, “I’d like to reiterate my thanks to the Venezuelan government and its people for their support of the Palestinian cause.”

Palestine’s president went on to thank Maduro for the education scholarships that have enabled many Palestinian students to study in the South American country. “Dozens of engineers and doctors have graduated and others continue to study,” said Abbas.

Abbas thanked Venezuela for its help in establishing the ophthalmology hospital in Palestine named “Hugo Chavez”, after the deceased Venezuelan president.

The Palestinian head of state will continue his Latin American diplomatic tour to Cuba and Chile.

@Seaside
Are you not always in here squawking about how South Americans hate Muslims, Palestinians, etc. and don't care what the Israelis do? If you were right, it seems times are changing, no?

The Bolivarians and Cuban socialists have always actively held out their solidarity with Palestine.

I have no idea about Seaside's claims, but this is nothing new.

The bi-national cryptocurrency is something new for sure and may be a huge step for the Palestinians in their struggle for freedom.

An interesting idea that’s almost certainly doomed to failure

Yeah, I was just responding to your address to Seaside (I have no idea whether, in reality, Latin Americans are apathetic towards Palestine, etc.).

I also don't really have much knowledge in the area of cryptocurrency tbh. But until the Venezuelan sanctions are removed, their economy is going to be in perpetual shit.

Damn i'm no investor but i know a great opportunity when i see one

I would be careful leaving funds with Venezuela they are terrible payers.

Which is why these currencies may be the answer to our need to free ourselves from central banks and their debt based currency.

When you are a country who constantly defaults on debt no currency will hold value, even if its trendy cripto currency.

I dont recall saying they all hate muslims or paletsinians but i stand by what i said that they dont like way different foreigners, africans, muslims, etc. That not that hard to believe considering that the entire 2nd, 3rd world and many 1st world eastern euro nations and even US has tribalism, ethnonationalism, racialism etc and other things. Latin america is ´´racist´´ and fascist a liberal from usa or canada would think if they actually lived in colombia or brazil and followed the politics also homophobic, religious, hypocritical etc.

Is it really so hard to believe that most people who are strongly catholic and many who used to listen to anti semitic crap said by old popes would also not like Muslims?

also look at this stuff

below is the Jersualem UN thing declaring US recognition to be bad.

Green= reject US recongintion
Yellow= abstain
Red= in favor

Abstains (yellow in this case) in UN history is basically the same as against something being voted on and a lot of times so is no showing. Since then one of the yellow countries paraguay has announced to move embassy to jersualem. Honduras another latin country voted Red in favor of the move and so did Guatemala and there two parliament has since approved the move.

So

Guatemala
Honduras
Paraguay
are moving the embassy to jeruslaem and Panama is rumored next and moving forward with that.

Given the strong christian views and traditional historic colombian ties to US and Israel i expect that colombia will be next and that Argentina will follow suit probably both in this year. If you look at the countries politics it make sense. And depending how Brazil elections go in october the embassy could get moved as well, brazil is half run by religious christians nationalist capitalist types and even some of the smaller tier parties and popular guys who may win like Jair bolosorano have come out in favor of moving it. Brazil´s past criticism of Israel was under previous left wing leadership via the old government and presidency.

Other yellow countries like romania parliament is pushing to move it, and czech president pushed for it but the parliament playing it safe to not upset EU major powers.

read my above comment. I dont think it is hard to imagine. Just imagine your deep south conservative but imagine them all tan or light brownish, dark haired, half of them religious catholics and of those 1/4 hypocritical and the other half passively catholic but also opposed to óther´foreign off groups. I mean the catholic world collectively is not most progressive the only reason gay marriage got passed in brazil and sort of in chile is because the leadership at the time in brazil did it through the liberal influenced courts but the masses are not so tolerant as people think. So if machismo culture and dislike of the óther´ even jews in some countries in past when the old popes were popular is a thing i not see why they would care for palestinians. I have literally never met any latino who likes or loves muslims. I have met some chilean marxist types in past who sympathsize with palestinian cause as i have met decent amount of venezuelans who do all because Chavez was anti israel, anti US policy and part of being on that axis is opposition to major US allies.

Personally i never understood why some continue to push belief palestinians are these victims etc i think at times it goes back to cold war thing linger on. Because personally from these types i have met much of there support is more about just being against Israel and western ímperialism´and they see Israel as imperialistic. However if you ask them if they want muslims immigrating to venezuela the answer is usually ¨NO¨¨ stay in they own country. It also not help that henrique capriles was viewed and accussed of being jewish agent because he part jewish on his dad side and because his capitalist views and support from israel and US. Capriles was main opposition to chavez years ago at one point.

look at most pro palestinian countries what they have in common in latin america? they all have most dislike and distrust of west, capitalism, and US they are bolivia, venezuela, cuba, that cannot be accident. Oh and sort of chile depending who in power. Where as Israel liked in argentina now and israelis boast of good relationship now and large jewish community in argentina helps them there and in Brazil where the religious side likes Israel and then colombia for past ties. With central american countries like honduras, guatemala, it has to do with a lot of evangelical in power there and being more religious christian and the judeo christian value thing the catholic and evangelical spread. In nicaragua which suspended ties with israel in 2010 over gaza, the long time president ortega who ordered the suspension i dont think will last much longer he did that because his roots was leftist marxist and secular and anti US axis etc. But he restored relations with Israel recently and now has mass protests and is older with age so i predict when he is gone the religious side will capture and US presence etc will push for better relations with israel. Nicaragua is also 1/4 evangelical.

personally as the islam divide grow larger in the world more of the christian world will side with west axis and nationalist, conservative, more semi religious and semi conservative and side with israel. 1/4 of nicaragua population is evangelical and that is because recent explosion in growth and converts over last like 20 years.

As far as what average chilean, peruvians, and bolivians think i doubt the average or majority walking the streets think much about it. But i can confidently say they dont want african blacks, muslim people, or bunch of pasty gringos coming over changing their country. People have pride and yeah if you blonde and pasty white you will get picked on and bullied in many countries unless you a hot girl and then only the girls will mess with you. It like that in many areas. If you dark black or wear turban on your head might as well die same with if you trans in many areas because life will not be fun for you it will be hell.

also look at how they voted for support of paletsinian state. Again you can think of absetatin as against palestine since this vote the US perceived all abstain as win and it hurt palestinian cause. And those grey countries that abstain over half have supported embassy move. Also look at Czech republic they voted years ago in 2012 against recognize palestine and even today the president outgoing wants to push it. Netanyahu himself said it most pro israel country in europe.

palestine-vote-un-map_r7yrfn

*Paraguay abstain therefore not give support to Palestine and now moving embassy
*Guatemala voted for Embassy move and is doing it
*Honduras voted for palestinian state but is now moving embassy
*Colombia abstain but i predict will move
*Panama voted against Palestinian state and rumor is that Panama is moving their embassy next along with Honduras.
*Brazil likely will move since if the conservatives win it will happen. That vote by way happened under peak of left power in Brazil which they lost via the silent coup you could say.
*Argentina also has a new more favorable western guy in power.

And here again BELOW is list of countires that have ties with Israel or have suspended and cut ties. Look below at the countries that have suspended or cut ties with Israel all in red. Again in latin america they are all countries that have had major problems with the US (bolivia, cuba, venezuela). But like i saying the average venezuelan is not going to want liberal western stuff that the right wingers freak out about in war room like gay and trans kissing all over tv etc and i doubt with all the drinking, fucking, skin showing and hypocrisy of religion that they want muslims running around everywhere.

Below this was a vote in UN in 1970s about saying zionism is ´racism´´

as you can see most all the supporting countries that are NOT muslim did it because they were all under communism at the time. And even though soviet union supported ethnic pride and ´nationalism´and racialism within the union by giving people their own ethno areas etc the official broader policy was against any wide powerful ethnonationalism or separatist thing. The abstains in latin america at time also could reflect favorable ties with US. Oh and look how central america voted and Uruguay.

above is vote saying Zionism is racism.

Crazy how times change. Now a days i suspect it would go similar but much of eastern europe and russia now would surely vote against it because they now practice more overt éthnonationalist´sentiements so they dont want to appear hypocrites. But the Muslim world has always done the same but does not care to by hypocrite. Notice how the same countries that never even recognized israel also vote against it for everything.

And last look at the countries that supported creation of Israel. Not much has changed with latin america except venezuela, bolivia taking critical turns against US and Israel. I think the peak of support all was with leftist governments in peak in early 2010s but this is changing. Netanyahu visit to colombia, argentina and ´mexico last year and his praising of it and welcome may say for the future.

Wtf? As a native Cuban this is the first time I’m seeing any of this. A palestino to me is just some guy that moved to Habana from another province

I know literally nothing about this but if Venezuela and Palestine are behind it, you can be sure that it will be a quality investment.

Yeah, I'm totally comfortable with investing in something ran by Venezula at least partially.

This is like those people that lost their money from that crypto... IN ESTONIA. The fuck did they expect?

Wtf? As a native Cuban this is the first time I’m seeing any of this. A palestino to me is just some guy that moved to Habana from another province
He said “socialists”

Since you’re using the World Wide Web, obviously you’re not a Cuban socialist.

Wtf? As a native Cuban this is the first time I’m seeing any of this

With certain issues what the government supports is definitely different than what average citizens care or support for. I dont know much about cuba but if it like anything or anyone else i meet from carribean or latin america the last thing you want is bunch of muslims coming to your country
The bi-national cryptocurrency is something new for sure and may be a huge step for the Palestinians in their struggle for freedom.

maduro wont last by way i dont see anyway he does. I was sympathetic at first to him despite me disliking chavez. Once he is gone from power this will likely be undone if the opposition wins
Wtf? As a native Cuban this is the first time I’m seeing any of this. A palestino to me is just some guy that moved to Habana from another province

what general view on muslims do the average people love them and want some in cuba and a lot more? How do people see israel

He said “socialists”

I knew plenty of hard core communists, but I didn’t drink the cool aid so maybe that’s why I never heard about it
