Should have put Mike Perry vs Al Laquinta on the main card and then waterson-Torres on the undercard. It seems like WME really likes watering down cards. U have 4 great fights on the main card why u gotta throw a mediocre wmma fight on when the PPVs have been selling shitty lately. 215 and 216 did terrible numbers and there was a lot of pull outs. They have 4 great fights and then they have the wmma fight where both fighters recently lost to rose and have wins over the likes of Paige vanzant Bec Rawlings and Angela magana. I respect them but don't want to pay money to see a fight which should b free.

It seems like WME is more interested in "stretching" their roster out and mixing good fights with ok fights. Cmon if I'm gonna pay then I want all 5 fights to be of very high caliber doesn't mean I won't watch them on the prelims

If the women are so fucking entertaining then they would have been just fine on the prelims since they would encourage people to buy the PPV. It would also give them more exposure because more people watch the prelims.

But the truth is they are just throwing that bullshit on there because if it headlined the prelims everyone would fall asleep before the main card even started. Sick of the UFC attempting to appeal to virgin cucks with this low level trash.

THIS. I personally enjoy plenty of WMMA fights, although admittedly plenty can be snoozers. But I'd never thought of it from this perspective, and you absolutely nail it. I guess UFC doesn't truly believe WMMA is very good, but are just trying to be "inclusive" on the PPV.

Also, Waterson is one of the most exciting fighters, with only one decision in the past 10 years. Tecia goes to decision a lot, but she throws a lot of strikes and her last fight was a finish.

They are also both more marketable than any of the fighters below them on the card.

Most importantly, this also means we are probably going to get a open workout from Michelle, which she does a much better job at than Ragin' Al ever could:

Meh WMMA, below average and boring to watch. If we're lucky we'll see some really quick finishes and then we can move onto the actual entertainment.

People also buy the PPV when it's already on. Some are late to a party and you buy it once you have time. Most don't know the full main card. They check it first to see if the fights are worth buying. The prelims also serve a purpose for fans on the fence, so imo you stack the main card and do what they've done with the prelims close to the PPV, while the meh fights can start the card. Makes most sense, imo....of course not knowing how much women's fights draw.
