So why does nobody give a crap about Net Neutrality?

I figured this would be something both sides would work together on. It seems like the government has successfully swept this issue under the rug.

It will be front and center come 2020.

Looking forward to Republicans actually having to defend their corporate BS.

Most people took the outrageous Amazon price increase up the wazoo without lube and didn't let out so much as a single groan. People pay for addictions.

I am just fine with the services I receive from Amazon for the price I pay.

The grocery store and rent is where prices are outrageous.

The new normal is going to be destroying everything the previous administration did. Net nuetrality is temporary.

This is quite simple but it's buried under tons of bullshit.

The representatives responsible for making the law and confirming the unelected lawmakers like Pai do not want net neutrality, they want cronyism. The people did not remove those representatives from power because they are more worried about the decline of the white identity and its decreasing dominance over the culture. The representatives know this, and used it to promote such cronyism at everybody's expense. They are doing the same thing with healthcare, education, financial oversight and environmental science. Until the people stop falling for this, it will continue until a major crisis (like the GFC) forces the issue.

A 20% price increase when the company is posting record profits is an abomination. As I stated, you are hooked and therefore will justify it. I bet they could double the annual Prime price and the addicts would fork it over with only a slight grumble.

You act like Amazon doesn't invest to expand services, and is just issueing god aweful bonuses to executives, and increased stock dividends.

No one bitches that Netflix increased it's prices, when they then take most of that money and expand content. That is how capitalism is supposed to work.

Amazon prime TV, is almost competitive with Netflix for content, and you get free shipping, for less then 20$ a month.

Dude, I pay 10$ for 6 chicken breasts. That is what I am outraged by. I pay 1420$ for a 1 br apartment. That is what I am outraged by.

You know, the things you can't opt out on.

Everyone complains when that happens. It just doesn’t end up on the forum because whoever starts the “Netflix raised its prices” thread will forever be taunted with “you sound poor” memes.

yes They made an issue out of trump banging porn stars also

Nobody cares

It’s a shame the left doesn’t stick to the issues because the issues that matter get swept up and away with the stormy daniels type news that they are known for far too often

Just pointing out the facts. This issue has been covered heavily by all of the.left leaning alternative news sources. Heavily.

Unfortunately corporate owned media is not nearly as interested in covering it.

This IS an issue that both the right and left are/were interested in and supported.

Also if you are on the right and never heard it covered in a real way then you might want to.ask yourself what the fuck is wrong with your news sources.

Ok, I agree people bitched at first, but when Netflix started rolling out all that content, I think allot of those people became OK with it, as they didn't feel like they were being screwed, but instead that the price increase was to pay for better services.

You're making net neutrality about race.

You're fucking diseased, man. This isn't enlightenment or erudition. It's a learned mental illness. Trump's base never supported this:
http://thehill.com/policy/technolog...ers-support-keeping-fccs-net-neutrality-rules
The survey presented respondents with detailed arguments from both supporters and opponents of the repeal plan, before asking them where they stood on the rules. It found that 83 percent overall favored keeping the FCC rules, including 75 percent of Republicans, 89 percent of Democrats and 86 percent of independents.
They can't even build their wall, and they are demanding that from a group that promised to make it happen.

People aren't racist because they want to keep their shit.

Amazon is a low profit margin business.

A weird one to go after for price increases imo

You're so eager to get to join the retards in their cries of "librul iz mental deeze" that you can't seem to comprehend what I'm saying. The cronyism game works by wedging us apart, opening the way for the thieves. It doesn't matter that people are against the repeal of net neutrality. And no, people's opinions on net neutrality don't have anything to do with race, and they don't have to. It's the biggest wedge by far; the defining wedge today and in all of our history. All the dog whistles, all the fears, which have barely taken a water break in the entire history of America, now evinced in the naked form of Trumpism, and who knows by who tomorrow. That's the hand we're supposed to watch. It's a one-step bit of misdirection, no sophistication required. The other hand is dolling out the favors, looking for ways to rob social security, to take away public schools, to get rid of that pesky clean air and water, etc. And that's without getting into any of the actual problems related to race (which are mostly improving). That's just the crony game. Promote fear of the outgroup so nobody will agree on things, then take them for whatever they've got. Nearly the entire Republican Party is complicit in this today.

No. There's nothing about these theories (i.e. the "southern strategy") that is foreign to me. I was aware of these grand ideas before I joined Sherdog itself. You have no advantage of knowledge to bequeath, and I have not shied from criticizing Trump when he has pandered, or when the implications of his language have crossed the line.

This is about your inability to divine that the mainstream Democratic party is now implementing this precise strategy themselves to mirror it. Rather than beat them, they joined them.

They have become what they professed to hate. They're aggressively using it to destroy innocent people, and they've made it clear they don't care about these casualties when they get it wrong. Disagree about economics? You're a racist. A bigot. Mere political disagreement is analogized to Nazism. Public figures are casually slandered as belonging to groups they explicitly denounce. Those who object are abused regardless of how progressive they are. Those who resist are censored from speaking, violently.

Wake the fuck up. It's a two-way street, now.

They said the only way we could keep things the same was to allow the FCC to oversee net neutrality.. they were allready monopolized, they were already throttling our internet. The government can’t even enforce their own do not call laws or even enforce laws that say commercials can’t be louder than the normal programming

Given a choice the market works, give us no choice and we lose.

Just look how cable companies had complete control over choices, it was basically socialism. Now their stranglehold on cities/cable companies has been broke, first by satellite followed by internet streaming. It had nothing to do with the government fixing it

I am on the left for almost all economic policy issues. You speak the truth. The dems sold their souls to corporations to compete with the rep who had done the same long ago..

From my understanding, companies cannot just throttle connections to websites without telling the FCC (I think) and giving a reason as to why, along with the bad publicity that would go with it

So it’s not a problem because companies will likely stay away from it thanks to a combination of good government regulation and the free market.

Keep in mind this is just stuff im repeating probably from some video on YouTube when I realized Net Neutrality was actually a new thing and that it wasn’t a problem before

The FCC no long has control over it. That's part of the problem is most people have no idea what happened.

we have a democracy problem when we get things both bases on each side didnt want
