Silva v Jones never gripped the imagination like Silva v GSP, because of the shorter overlap.

GSP's run was 07-13. Silva's run was 06-12.

Whereas in 2010 Jones wasn't even a champ yet.

While this is a stupid comparison (since GSP & Silva had their reign at the same time while Jon arrived to the scene much later, After SIlva was already in decline.
But beyond that, IMO Silva was just trolling reporters (and haters).

Well nobody makes excuses live Silva stans. None of his losses count, the peds were for his broken leg (lmao) so it's not cheating. The greasing is fine but not when gsp does it.
