Senate votes today to allow ISPs to sell customer browsing history to advertisers

Some ad exec is gonna discover just how much I like anal granny porn

Supply and demand bro. They gonna learn about the worlds need for anal granny porn so they'll just produce more and more of it. Everyone's a winner

It's all about money. So much for privacy.

What exactly do our politicians do for us again? It's hard to even think of any positives they bring to average middle class people. Everything is either given to the poor or rich, rights and privacy stripped away and everything is done through a legal form of bribery that they call "lobbying" which was originally just meant for the common man to write his congressman a letter letting him know what the people needed. Fuck them.

They're going to have to seal my file in a vault marked "Sutter Cane" for national security.

Flake said at the time that he is trying to "protect consumers from overreaching Internet regulation."

Classic. Im sure theyve been doing this all along anyway, but are just seeking legal protection for doing so, much like intelligence agencies have been hacking devices for years, but recently had this practice legalised in the UK with the Investigatory Powers Act 2016. I guess this data sell-off will be the norm everywhere soon.

I love porn, me. My most recent pornhub search was "thick anal milf", and I must say, I was NOT disappointed.

It's a tease game. They tickle your balls but won't give you the full hand job.

And here I thought this would be right up TS's state's rights (to fuck you up the ass) philosophy.

I wonder if a VPN is used it's still possible.

I never surf without protection

They don't do much for the poor. They allow them to scrape by as fodder, cheap labor for the corporations run by the rich. Not much is done to try to elevate the poor up to middle class status. They sold out our entire blue collar middle class. Get a bachelors degree or toil in poverty.

Great, Im gonna hop online to order pizza, then an add for Midget amputee porn pops up....

Nah that ad exec is going to pitch an idea for a service for future employers to be able to see what their prospective hires browsed in the past. Not a good idea if you're working in the senior care industry.

It is probably going to be analyzed by some algorithm, no ad exec is probably going to personally see your history. You however are going to get a lot of targeted ads based on that.

And when hackers steal one of those browsing history databases and publishes it, public will be able to make connection to you by your browsing history that relates to your facebook use.

Not if the VPN service doesn't keep logs. Since the VPN connection is encrypted, your ISP can't tell what you're doing.
The VPN will encrypt the tunnel into the network, but once you're inside the network, the network can still log your activity. If you have Verizon or Comcast, they may have access to those logs, no?
