Senate votes today to allow ISPs to sell customer browsing history to advertisers

I feel sorry for the poor scmuck that has to go through my browser history to find things to advertise to me.

I didn't read thru this whole thread...
But what's our plan guys?

So does this mean that the fact that I post on Sherdog will be exposed to everyone?? This is even worse than them exposing all the girls i've stalked and trap threads i've frequented.

I don't think enough people care about their privacy for their to be a full-fledged plan, but I think at least a few of us have settled on: It's time to start using a VPN.

Two ISPs here said in the newspaper they will not sell your browser shit or sell with identifiable shit to you. We shall see, but I sure would feel more comfortable if the fucking law protected my privacy. "Leveling the playing field." They should stop FB and Amazon from selling your footprints instead of letting everyone do it.

I vow to never buy anything from any pop-up ad and will ignore all pop-up ads that don't have naked boobs.

I'm going to purchase the internet search results of my Senator who voted for it and try to get it published in newspapers.

Here's an article:

One thing you really want to pay attention to is whether or not the VPN provider keeps activity logs. Some do, some don't. If they keep logs of your activity, it largely defeats the purpose of having a VPN in the first place.

When i was looking at VPNs a few years ago, i concluded that you need to pay for a decent one that wont keep logs and wont limit your data use & allow file-sharing traffic. I have used Airvpn before and it seems to be pretty good (easy to install on linux too), based in Italy, with exit servers all over.

Pretty sure Anonymous is already hard at work on that. Well, not the purchase part maybe...

You definitely have to pay for a good VPN and I actually am using Air right now. Signed up a couple of weeks ago.

If I were an employer, you can bet I would want to know the browsing history of a potential employee. They already check your social media, now they have one more place do get dirt on you.
