Report: Conor/UFC in talks with Golden Boy for Canelo/Mcgregor fight.

This guy is an utter spastic. Modified gloves lol, and he actually believes PillowFists McGregory would KO Canelo. Jesus christ. The McNuggers are beyond help it seems.

Most pathetic, delusional fanbase in combat sports history.

GGG's gloves were modified, well not modified but cut a certain way. The padding was distributed very oddly giving his gloves a square look. Less padding on front of glove and more on the top. They certainly have a more even appearance in his recent fights.

Research shows that people believe fake news because it's easier than critically evaluating and analyzing everything else they've heard.

Your post is fake cuz you don't know what's the truth. Fucking poser.

I hope to God this happens. It would be about as competitive as Nunes vs Rousey.

Why is this shit thread even here?

should have been deleted

lol, this is all kinds of stupidity. Not even close to being factual!

Canelo isn't even that thick.

It's a fact, look it up. Canelo walks around signifcantly more than GGG. GGG makes 160 easily, he comes into camp weighing under 10 pounds over the MW limit.

On fightnight Canelo undoubtedly outweighed Golovkin.

Paulie is spot on regarding his punches. He just swings his arm but does not put his body into it or give it that extra oomph/snap that you are supposed to do when throwing a proper punch.

Absolutely. They are not proper power shots by boxing standards, the kind of power shots elite boxers have been throwing since they were kids.

As I said before, and as you just suggested - they are glorified arm punches.

His precision, timing, and reach, combined with the terrible defence and chins of MMA fighters gets him results - and fair play to him for that - but he is not a real puncher, that much is very clear now.

Changing the goal posts, switching sports isn't the same thing as being a marketable film star you goddamn mongo. I never said Conor McGregor could be a rap star, so stop conflating going from being a marketable combat sports star that's good on the mic to "changing mediums" like music or playing baseball. We're talking movies, dipshit. Michael Jordan and Justin Timberlake aren't combat stars, they're not obvious picks for a badass action movie role. There's a different type of action movie that's very popular right now and doesn't require great acting, that's comic book cape shit. In fact the better acting gets overlooked such as Karl Urban as Dredd. And there's a resurgence in mindless action flicks with blank and bad actor Keanu Reeves starring as hugely popular John Wick.

You can get the last word but you're holding this L, son.
lol the whole basis for your idea Conor can make more money than fighting in Hollywood is because of his popularity. There's far more popular people who went into movies and flopped. But Conor is going to be the one lol and you're retarded to think action movies require literally zero acting chops. The difference is Conor would butcher every line of dialog with his accent, timing and whatnot because he can't act.

Listen to yourself retard, you're suggesting someone who's never acted will be among the top earner in Hollywood because he has a niche nuthugging fanbase? lmfao comparing Arnold, Sly, JCVD, Keanu Reeves to a one hit wonder flavor of the week type in Conor.

I agree mcgregor throws arm punches when hes gassing and being pressured but don't make it seem like he can't throw any power punches. Part of it might have been his gameplan to just land scoring shots rather than trying to throw powerful ones in the middle rounds. Dustin poirier said he had the hardest punch he ever felt. Let mcgregor punch you in the face and then come back and tell us is he a real puncher or not.

The punch mcgregor threw at 2.09 of round 2 was very powerful. You could hear the massive thud from it and even though It's blocked it knocks mayweather backwards and stumbles him.

People who denigrate Conor's boxing are fools.. if he was as bad a boxer as people claim then boxers should be able to go into MMA and dominate easily.. so where are they?

After all.. people say Conor is a one trick pony who can't do anything but strike.

The claims make zero sense.

gohkan saki just came in and KO'd an MMA fighter who was 12-4 prior to the fight. With 3 months of TD defense training. While being gassed. zzz

Ok there's one example.. that still doesn't prove what you are saying.. If what people said was true about Conor's striking ability then boxers would be lining up at the UFC's doorway right now with white mink coats on... It's total bullshit.

why would they? They have worked on a specific craft for years, they don't grapple, and the top boxers would have a significant decrease in pay. Why on Earth would they do that?

WAIT. you just changed your stance. You said TOP boxers.. So Conor must be just below the level of a top boxer then? That's hardly shitty then... if Boxers are the studs people pretend they are..

Conor amassed a following and used Floyd to get his payday. In boxing, that can be done. Conor is a shitty boxer. There's nothing more to it.

He's a good MMA fighter and should stick to that. Boxers should stick to boxing. If they want to chase the glory and dedicate themselves to MMA, then good for them. But guys at the top will never do so because they'd be paid crumbs.

Canelo was paid pretty well for this last fight, as was GGG. Even by base pay standards, is the UFC shelling out 3m-5m for any fighters other than Connie? Add in PPV and there's a huge diff in their pay
