Predictions for 2024 Fighter of the Year

I think the winner Beterbiev vs. Bivol will be fighter of the year. Both are evenly matched and are at the pinnacle of the LHW division. One can argue that the winner of Usyk vs. Fury will be Fighter of the Year, but what are the chances of that fight even happening =3

maybe if the stars somehow align and crawford beats both charlo and tszyu to unify 154... but that seems very unlikely.

Strong candidates include Usyk (has to beat Fury likely twice, or Fury and Hrgovic later), Beterbiev (has to beat Bivol likely twice or Bivol and than Opetaia/Briedis winner) and of course possible candidates are always due to their status and matchmaking opportunities Canelo and Crawford.

It depends on how many times they fight this year and who they beat. Bud Crawford didn't win 2023 FOTY after beating Spence because he only fought once last year. He'd also won it before. Usyk & Bivol have already won it too so if either does win their next fights, and I expect Usyk to, they'll likely be a 2x FOTY award winner (unless Usyk immediately retires if he beats Fury).
