Yeah, it normally is pretty sad. I've known through acquaintances some of these type of people -they get this job right out of college, they are psyched because they love videogames, but the pay is low and never really gets better, and before they know it, they are 30 making barely any money and writing about a market that is geared to people younger than them. They get resentful, which is where stupid ideas like equality get a hold of them.

What is the pay for writing for gaming rags? Should be pretty decent, not to mention the multitude of gaming publications in print and online. I can't imagine a decent writer making peanuts.

Yeah I hear ya. I still check ign daily. I know it has mixed reviews about.. Its reviews.. But its a good place to get all your info in one place. Besides they have tons of great features and wikis.
