Now that the UFC know that Conor can appear in Bellator and enhance them...

That would've been correct if Conor was FORCED to go to the UFC afterwards.

But as far as things go now, they might not see him in their events again...he may just continue doing what he's doing.

WOW you aren't very smart are you..

Let me spell it out for you. He's under contract with the UFC. When he fights again it will be under their promotion period. Anything he does is great for MMA as a whole and especially the UFC's product because he is attracting "casuals" attention. There is too much money out there to be made for him not to fight again. Only a fool would think he was gonna retire..

Doing what he's doing? You mean nothing? He's not fighting anywhere without the UFC getting a slice.

I guess they would be pissed if they believed there are people out there who watch Bellator but don't watch UFC.

Bellator really isn't much of a concern for the UFC.

They're putting together a heavyweight tournament made of 2007's best fighters.

Since we´re talking about MMA here it doesn´t matter, Ferg could be mute for all I care.... and nobody really cares how much money Conor has or how many parties he goes to, we´re MMA fans here to talk about MMA and he is a fraud as a champ, while Ferguson is the best LW in the world with the best record ever in the division. Everyone knows this, including you.
Conor KO's Ferg clean and quick. Khabib gets the Eddie treatment only worse. Sry man.

Wishful thinking. Conor will never defend, will fight the trilogy and get exposed and choked out again.

you mean... like arlovski, overeem, werdum, jds, cain, rothwell...?

yeah, the hw division sure is stacked and totally different.

Coker’s prolly kicking himself for not putting together a better card instead of a few squash matches for BAMMA prelims

You are short sited. The more live/crazy shit this guy does while under contract to the UFC means the more exposure to the casual audience. More exposure to the casuals means a higher probability at a higher buy rate. Ever heard the term that all press is good press, well for Conor it's true

Sounds all good only problem is: Conor does not defend his belt.

Are you new around here? UFC gives zero fucks about him defending, this is a business. They are gonna protect their cash cow at all costs and give him winnable fights to keep his stock high. Long as he keeps winning people can say whatever they want cuz the cash will be flowing

Also just FYI

I'm not a Conor apologist. I hope he gets hit by a truck asap..

Bellator isn't making any extra money based on Daley assaulting Koscheck at UFC; and assaulting MVP at Bellator.

Conor is just self promoting. If anything it promotes casuals who only want to see money fight / UFC / WWE storylines.

They didn't give Bellator publicity, they stole Bellators publicity for themselves.....not bad.

That video is already on its way to the top 5 most popular Bellator videos of the last 9 years. So at the very least it is helping their digital media platforms. Of course the UFC is pissed, they get pissed at anything that helps their competitors, even if in the slightest.

This Bellator video of Conor losing his mind already has over 1 million views on YouTube in less than 3 days.

Thoughts?

IDK.....you ever seen Dana so mad he was quiet before?

Its not sustainable, he took risks and won two belts and he is no longer taking risks. He is Ronda in the making and with GSP back he is out of the spot light, this explains why he crashed that fi

Don’t you guys see what they’re trying to do?

This is just like WWE vs. WCW.

Conor was sent to Bellator by Dana/WME to completely steal the show much like when Razor Ramon showed up at WCW. It’s so obvious but, Dana and WME actually took it a step further than NWO by having Conor push the ref and punch that commissioner employee guy.

Not only has Dana, WME and Conor started a war with Bellator - they also started a war with the apparent MMA GOAT fighter and ref, Marc Goddard, and some athletic commission or something, no idea what it’s all about over there.

Maybe it will somehow effect things with NSAC and/or the NYAC although I don’t see why it would. All they need to do now is send Artem with him next time and shit will get real crazy once Artem shows how flowy he is.

But wait! There’s more!

This is what they (Conor and Bellator) are trying to make us believe! Conor, much like Razor being under contract with WCW, is actually signed to Bellator. This is why Conor hasn’t been around all that much as of late. This is truly why we saw him at a Bellator event instead of a UFC event or basically anywhere else.

Yes, he was there to support his teammate, but Ward was all part of the plan to make you believe what they’re doing and you’re all eating it up. This is how Bellator is starting the real rivalry. Now that they’re getting a bunch of fighters from the UFC (including Conor), they have the ammunition to fight the UFC to the death.

Shit, they even took Mike Goldberg!

<Goldie11>

It has begun!!

By the way mods you should put a gif of Razor throwing his toothpick at the camera. You still need to put Edmond as well!

Conor isn't gonna beat all the top guys in the LW division. I think most level headed MMA fans would agree on that. What you could also agree upon is that he's a huge draw and anything he touches turns to gold. So while he is out acting a fool and drawing more attention to himself and the sport in general he is building his brand even further and lining the pockets of the UFC along the way.

There's a few things at play here. Number 1-is that his loss to Nate really made him look human but how he came back made him even more of a fan favorite. I believe the loss was a good thing for him, fans don't expect him to be invincible now and if he loses again it won't be the fall off the cliff decline like Rhonda. Number B-no matter who he fights he's gonna be a draw especially after being showcased against Mayweather. That has opened up a new door to fans who prior to that fight didn't find any interest in MMA. Number 4-the UFC is gonna give him the fights he has the best chance of winning. They don't care what the hardcores want, that's why they don't have a unified ranking system. The UFC has always been about what fights are gonna make the most money not about who deserves what fight. As John Fitch about that..
