@HomerThompson I'm at a loss of your like in regards to the OP
The way Conor closes the distance on Goodard is a work of art. A+ level footwork.
The guy is running on coke and as much as UFC is about money, fighting and winning is what makes you a draw beating two champions is what made Conor. One title loss and he loses much of his draw, the attention from now on is on GSP.
Compared to Bellator’s it’s the NFL vs. Arena Football.
Chael Sonnen is competing in the tourney. Alongside Heavyweight staples such as Ryan Bader and Rampage Jackson. They’re wheeling out Fedor’s corpse for one last run against young up and comer Frank Mir. Matt Mitrione might be the future Bellator Heavyweight Champion of the world, but not if future Hall of Famer Roy Nelson has anything to say about it.
If anything, he brought UFC promotion into a Bellator event.
But would you watch a Bellator Card because of the Conor incident? NO. So theres no real boost for them
i'm not saying bellator's hw division/tourney is good.
i was merely pointing out that your particular criticism (2007's best fighters) was either invalid or hypocritical. as the ufc's hw division is... also 2007's best fighters. your choice of criticism was poor.
I'm saying that's a good tourney. Some of the guys from lighter weightclasses wanna compete? Ok. I don't believe that openweight is allowed under the unified rules. This is effectively an OW tourney under the guise of a HW tourney. I like it. It's fun.
I am pretty sure they are realizing in the last couple of weeks what kind of monster they created.
Sir Alex Ferguson always said "no one is bigger than the club" and he fired Beckham.
He had a good point. He had balls Dana doesn't have - this too.
Such a dumbass.
Has Sherdog figured out why Conor did this?
It was clearly a self-serving stunt from Conor; I mean, he most definitely doesn't care this much about another person - this was purely to get attention for himself (robbing the limelight from his buddy who should have been the one bathing in glory).
But was this a promotional tool for the UFC, Conor being a jealous of GSP attention whore or what?
He just looked like a little twat to me but it worked in getting attention so well done.
Casuals don’t care about other organisations literally had one mate say “at least it wasn’t a ufc ref he attacked”
He can box , and he does not need UFC permission for this. Ali act protects him as a boxer.
Casuals, and Conor followers, will see Bellator as well, because they have exact same chance to see Conor there as they can in the UFC.
And Conor does not need to fight. And he has more money than he needs for his whole life. He invests money that can binrg him more revenue than single MMA title defense.
Ratings and viewership comes to Viacom pockets, not WME/IMG.
Conor followers, casual ones, will watch Bellator every time Cavanagh students fight.
Why would this force them to re-negotiate?? They can shelve him you know. He can't do anything if they decide to do that. They don't have to do shit.
Oh really. So why did he need their permission 3 months ago? You are not aware of how the Ali Act works.
Enlighten me then, master. Come on, I'm listening.
Neither does he.
He has enough money (which has been put to work, too) to sit on the shelf until his last days.
He's as famous as the UFC himself. Casuals that know Conor don't necessary know the difference between MMA, UFC and WWF.
