News Ngannou/Joshua flops even worse than Ngannou/Fury

If not for SA oil money, Ngannou would not have gotten any high profile matches at all.

Nothing was happening within traditional boxing promoters. Then these unbelievably rich people that KNOW the thing will lose money. But they aren’t into it for the money. It’s about their egos and ability to make almost anything happen (supposedly Khabib turned down $50M he was offered to return).

But neither hardcore boxing, or mma fans seem to give a shit about Ngannou’s fights. Just like when he was in the UFC.

He’s dishonest, disloyal, disrespectful, delusional, and has a massive ego. And appears to be about the most entitled diva in combat sports today.

But at least he got paid. So apparently people can just ignore everything else.

Even being 0-2, badly outclassed and KO'ed, and drawing <5k PPV buys?

Yeah...why not?

It should be crystal clear by now that the Saudis are buying their way into the space without regard for turning a short-term profit. Just look at what they have done in other sports. They spent a BILLION dollars on transfer fees alone in football (soccer) and dumped a pile of money into pro golf to seize position there too.

The saudis throw around hundreds of millions the way some random drops $40 on beer and wings at his local pub on Friday night.

The problem is Franci$ thinks he's hot shit and doesn't realize he's a pawn for freakshow fights bankrolled by people richer than God.

That's moving the goal posts though...what bearing on the situation does Francis' *alleged* perception have?

Is Francis getting the opportunities? Is he getting the big pay days? Yes.

Given those facts, to then criticize or mock Francis by claiming that he thinks he is the man, and does not realize he is a pawn, just sounds like jealousy or bitterness, tbh.

It also seems more logical to believe that Francis and his people are aware of the overall context surrounding their opportunities and have simply chosen to accept them.

I bet the golfers who took far more money than they would have received from the PGA or other tours, and the football clubs and players who accepted huge transfer fees and salaries, respectively, were also aware of the overall situation and they were choosing to cash in too.

It's a weird time in some pro sports...given the nature of UFC contracts, the suppressed earnings of fighters, etc., I'm just happy Francis broke free, bet on himself, and got paid...I would hope most MMA fans feel similarly.

edit: the shorter answer to your post is...even if what you said is true, how/why is that a 'problem'?

Because it gaslights people (and Franci$ himself) into thinking these opportunities were based on merit

You genuinely believe that fans know what's up...but Francis and his people don't? C'mon now...

I'm thinking fans are clueless, Franci$' people know what's up, but Frank himself has drank the Kool-Aid.
