Oh man that sounds awful. I was thinking, didnt Rob end his investment long before this event? thanks for the clarification. I bet he was there to support Tonon. Garry was rocking datch 540 sponsor.
 
I'd like to congratulate the Metamoris crew on their brilliant new drama, The Foundation.

I, having never grappled a day in my life, but being keenly interested in Metamoris, was inspired to go join a Gracie Garage, ran by a local blue belt after seeing it. A little odd that they book-ended this masterpiece with a bunch of boring stuff though.
 
Favorite moment in commentating...

Dern: "Is that lockdown?"
Jeff: "No, that's a position from half guard"

Next favorite were the multiple attempts by Jeff to hit on Dern. "I would be glad to show you the position later"

Big props for AJ getting his payback.

But to me, it's like college or folk style wrestling and choosing between top, bottom or neutral position - It forces both fighters to kill or escape a huge threat and hence, no draws.

I like draws. If someone can't submit the other person, they don't deserve a "win". Simply having a position doesn't mean anything if you can't finish.

I prefer point scoring to submission only events without sudden death. That's why I like EBI because you either submit the guy or escape a submission hold more efficiently than your opponent which gives you the win.

It's just a personal preference.

I actually thought Dern was kidding for a quick second but then when she kept it going I was like "Damn...."

I know she's a World Champ, it's just a trip that she didn't know lockdown. Even non-10th planet guys know that hold.

It was shocking to hear that from the announcers table.
 
Honestly, I know we all thought Metamoris was dead after 4, and after 5, and after 6 for sure...but, I really, really, reallllly cannot fathom another one after this. Can you guys?

Yeah, there isn't a right or wrong. It's just preference. I'm glad there are options for both.
 
The shitty part is I really appreciate what Metamoris set out to do and I wanted to support them. But their lack of professionalism turned me away.

But if nothing else, they kinda opened up the possibility for EBI, Polaris, and SUG. So hey, all in all I appreciate them for that. It'd have been nice if they went about things in a more transparent and far less questionable way.

Commentary was absolutely horrible. Glover was unprofessional, disrespectful and a plain old weasel.

Glad Tonon got the sub and was substantially smaller than Ralek, so there's no BS. Ralek was man enough to truly accept defeat and give praise.
 
Glover was a disappointment and should be banned from the event. He was drinking beer right before his match with Malfecine and even made a comment about that. Seriously, this isn't the sort of attitude Metamoris needs with its already diminishing credibility.
