Mayweather should fight Canelo again instead of McGregor

40 years old and a 2 year layoff. Canelo vastly improved and just hitting his prime

Isnt.

I fucked up the last edit.

Floyd still stays in the gym. He'd still beat Canelo

I think you are forgetting Oscar has the blueprint to best Floyd he just held off on Canelo for the mega rematch

anyone but mcgregor

mcgregor should't get that payday
smart move by asking for it because no way he makes 25m more in the ufc
probably drops his next fight
and the fight after that

Floyd should fight GGG since he claims that would be easy work. But we all know he doesn't think so otherwise the fight would have been made.

Curious, how would you favor Pretty Boy, from the Corrales fight say, stylistically against either?
Well first considering Pretty Boy was 130lbs when he fought Corrales it's sort of silly. You can't be asking what if 130lb PBF fought 154-160 lb Canelo or 160lb GGG, are you? I Can't do it...The 154 division Money May is the only logical discussion.

But lets just say all things equal. If all players were of equal weight. Being as offensive as Floyd was, it's hard to tell how bad of a beating those two guys would receive. He was just coming into his own with his defense, but wasnt at the level yet that he was when he fought Baldomir or Oscar, as a complete boxer. Being a Super Featherweight, it's hard to tell with his speed as a "little guy" versus the fastest we've ever seen GGG or Canelo, (which is snail speed compared to PBF as a SuperFW). But if they were all the same size, with all the same attributes of the periods you asked about, (Floyd with his speed and offensive prowess, Canelo and GGG with their power and body work) ;Im inclined to say an embarrasing shut-out like a Baldomir or even Gatti fight against both. Or possibly some fireworks from either opponent. But its kind of a strange conpaison becasue of the size and weight differences being nullified and ignored, which in any case SHOULD be the attributes GGG and Canelo would bring to the ring normally.

Long story short if youre asking skill for skill and stylistically; 24 yr old Floyd embarrasses both in easy fashion, just too fast and too damn good offensively. The speed decrepancy is too much against 24 yr old Mayweather... He could get caught, because of that offense, but he was also quicker on his feet, too... The Corrales fight made him p4p #1....Neither of those two have even gotten there yet. so regardless in any year 2001 or after, Canelo and GGG would be fighting the #1 pound for Pound guy in the business. Which makes them an underdog imo.

A McGregor is just an easy money punching bag fight, you don't need to be a boxing expert to predict the outcome of this fight.

Now the question is, can Mayweather beat Canelo again?
What are you guys on about?
Maywether is retired, and too smart to end up like B-hop and Roy.
Canelo rematch adds less than a spec of dust to his resume, other than breaking the longest record with only wins.

Even funnier, Floyd is greedy af for making this easy money fight, he's already making more money than his grandchildren's children can spend (promoter, real state, gyms, strip clubs, ...etc)

Mcgregor is actually a bigger payday

I would say if Canelo beat GGG in dramatic fashion, and they started talking about a Floyd fight after it might be as big or bigger payday than a McGregor fight.
Imagine: Old Great vs The New Great; will it be a passing of the guard or is Floyd truly TBE, breaking the record and beating the p4p #1 at 40+ yrs old.

Floyd's already halfway through his money if we can believe some publications

(That's 400 million dollars in only a few years time. If he continues to "invest" in stupid stuff like highly personalized watches (which are a terrible investment to begin with) then his money will soon be gone.)

No forget that. Mayweather vs. GGG at 154, after GGG beats the prime out of Canelo and TKO's him in 8 rounds.

Ok there's no chance in hell that Floyd fights GGG, he's far too smart for that.

Mayweather would still beat Canelo pretty easily. His defence is just too good even if he has slowed a bit with age. Canelo has improved but not nearly enough to beat PBF.
And PBF doesn't want anything to do with GGG and that was 2 years ago, sure as hell he doesn't want him now!

You didn't read my whole comment till the end, did you? Or did you mean to reply to someone else?
Floyd is the smartest boxer in history in terms of investment.
He has many money making businesses that existed before his first retirement.

He's been buying bugati caliber cars like their eminems long before the pac 400m, so their goes ur argument.
