What are you guys seeing in particular that will clearly win this fight for Cotto? i don't doubt he can win but it does seem like a tough ask especially for a retirement fight.

On the gambling I believe the people on here who make bets they actually have the means to cover, say what bet they made before a fight, and don't brag after the event. Most of us who do gamble know roughly what stakes each other normally gamble with and don't turn up saying they picked some monster upset or say they are putting £10k on Conor by knockout.

Cotto is a really good boxer and Lemi is too limited.

o is great at pivoting to either side and using that launch great hooks at the head and body. Great versatile jab that is honestly quite heavy. that being said Lemi is a dynamite puncher he isn't a volume guy like margarito he has real concussive power behind his punches, and if there is any point in your career you are going to get hurt it is in your retirement fight....Right?

Except for the fact that he didn't. You don't outbox someone to a questionable narrow decision.

I'd say GGG outfought him but didn't really outbox him. The damage he inflicted gave him the win. The knockdown and the couple of times he wobbled him badly clearly stood out above everything because the fight was on pretty even ground.

I said I'm a fan of both fighters. GGG has a far more rabidly defensive fan base than Jacobs as evidenced that you ignored that. Floyd was walking Mosley down is why I picked that fight. I didn't say you have to be a slick defensive wizard and I don't pretend to know things I don't, and I don't race to boxrec if I can't answer a question. What the hell?

Lemi does not do anything for Cotto. It seems like a pointless fight against a much bigger guy who can really punch. I would heavily favor Cotto, but if he wins, so what? Nobody will remember Cotto for that time he beat David Lemieux.

If Cotto wants to keep fighting then he should be matched at 154 against Trout or Charlo. Maybe even a Khan fight at 154, for the money and fun of it. I think those fights would all be more meaningful or memorable than a Lemieux fight.

well, im not going to agree to being an asshat. i liked the broner play and never capped the fight with mikey having the ability to average 65 punches a round when he normally only averaged 45-50 when facing ranked world class opponents(fights that lasted over 7 rounds).

that doesnt make me an asshat. it makes me wrong in the way i capped the fight.
