Largest Fighter Per Division

Biggest ever - Emanuel Yarborough

LHW probably Gustafsson
MW probably Rockhold, maybe Jason MacDonald
WW has got to be Rumble. He was gigantic at WW.
LW probably Pat Healy or Nate
FW is definitely Holloway.
BW is probably Cruz
FLW definitely Tim Elliot.

Pat Healy is a great choice for LW. Very big and not someone I would've thought of. However, Nate wasn't that big. James Vick is clearly bigger than Nate for example.

For LHW, Ryan Bader deserves a mention. Dude was bricked as hell and could've easily fought at HW (we'll see how he does in the Bellator tourney)

LOL you think he cut 45LBs? He was something like 187LB apparently

There are MANY LW's over the years that walked at 190-200lbs.

Anderson Silva started his cut from 220lbs to make 185lbs. A cut is over a long fight camp from walk around weight.

LW: Wasn't Tibau nearly 200lbs in the cage back in the day as a LW?

Tibau could hit 181lbs, a 26lbs cut for 155. Probably the most of any Lightweight.

Also, one should keep in mind that walk-around weight, and cage weight are not interchangeable.

You can walk at 200lbs, but this has literally no impact on fighting at 155lbs, and weighing 181lbs in the cage.

HW - Tai Tuivasa, he used to be 350 Ibs in the past. He cuts to 265 but is about 285+ on fight night.

flw: lineker probably (145)
Bw: Barao (159)
Fw: diego Sanchez (173) vs lamar
Lw: tibau (185)
Ww: marquardt or rumble (200)
Mw: weidman (208)
Lhw: Glover (228)

I think the best way to look at weight is Weight A versus Weight B. Weight A being what you weigh in at, and Weight B being cage weight. Walk around weight would be Weight C, but has no bearing on anything, and for some reason is discussed despite being of no importance whatsoever.

"Rampage walks around at 250lbs!"

"And? He gets in the cage at 225 or so, not 250, so that's what matters in terms of actual fighting."

Hard to tell. Guys cut from so much these days. 25-30 pounds Is Normal...

HW - Mark Hunt is over 300lbs, and Antonio Silva was a huge guy.
LHW - a few good options. Bader was very big, someone else mentioned Villante.
MW - Rockhold is just massive to weigh in at 84kgs. Costas is massive oo.
WW - I am certain Rumble is the biggest guy ever to compete at 170 in elite competition. He was just huge and even occasionally made weight.
LW - Tibau is the obvious choice and probably has enjoyed the benefits of substances to help him stay super lean. Ferguson is a seriously big LW as well.
FW - Poirier was a very big FW. Maynard made 145 (or did he, sure he fought there) which is mental considering his size. Max is very big for the division too.
BW - Assuncao
FLW - Elliott

I heard 200 for Tibau too no idea how though

Present
Hw that new Tai something from Australia
Lhw Cormier
Mw Borrinchina
Ww Till
Lw Khabib
Fw Aldo or Zabit
Bw Assuncao
Flw idk
Tibau is still at LW and is way bigger than Khabib. Tony is at least as big as Khabib.

She looks almost 200 lbs here

When talking about the biggest fighters, obviously we are talking about the biggest fighters IN THE CAGE! Thats biggest fighters in fight shape. Anderson started camp fat. Anderson on fight night was under 200LBs according to him and his trainers.

Who gives a fuck what they walk at when they are not ready to fight? When talking about size in MMA, all that matters is what they weigh when they enter the cage. No LW has been 200LBs in the cage

I care and so do many others.

TS didn't make it clear what the parameters were so fuck off.

Rockhold is not around 220 lol, rockhold said he is around 205

Gotcha, thanks for clarifying - that's surprising since he looked as big or bigger then Weidman when they fought and Weidman walks around at like 215 I think. But Rockhold might just stay leaner in between camps or whatever.

Also got a new one:

BW - Barao, think he was rumored to walk around at same weight as Aldo (160?), obviously had the passing out and hitting his head on the bathtub incident from cutting.

How is it relevant what a fighter weighs when he is not fighting? And considering TS talked about the weight of Rumble, Rockhold and Tibau IN THE CAGE, its pretty obvious he isn't asking who gets the fattest with their walking around weight

Why are some people including McGregor as a big FW? He hasn't fought at that weight in over two years, and has had three MMA fights and 1 boxing match since, all above FW. It's safe to say he'll never make that weight or fight in that class ever again.
