They studied his weaknesses well and knew he was a changed fighter after wrestling and getting gassed down. Conor vs Nate from the opening bell to seven minutes in was day and night from Conor past the seven minute mark. Khabib does have under rated stand up, not to mention strikes his whole life in Sambo, but his wrestling and threat of wrestling plays a huge part in his success too, much like the threat of Maia's ground game allowed him to strike with Andy for five rounds.
