Meanwhile someplace, somewhere Conor is brushing up on his skills with Artem the human punching bag and slapping bag.
Just what he needs to avoid Conor's lethal striking LOL
Wonder how he does against Usman and Shields in grappling/wrestling
Would LOVE to see footage of those guys wrestling. Kamaru is a beast and huge even for a welterweight. Shields is a legend in the grappling department.
Conor is training with Danis, one of the best grapplers in the world today. Not on the level of a shields to be sure, but to pretend hes just beating up artem is a joke.
He has them to help him impose his will on Conor
My first thought too.
Didn't Dannis lose to Jake and stay salty over it for months?
Danis is very good, but "one of the best"? I would not go that far..
Actually, good wrestling is the perfect tool to negate good striking... watch much MMA?
Damn, this would be cool to watch.
Would kill to see that footage. Khabib has been getting killers to help him out in these camps
yeah but jake is one of the best grapplers EVER.
Oh for sure Jake is an absolute beast, pretty sure he outgrappled Maia when they fought too IIRC
My biggest concern with Conor are his training partners. How many good wresslers he brought in? I havent read or heard any notable name training with the guy. It aint the same to be pushed to the limits by a top tier wressler than the “yes sir” bums he’s training with.
And lol at Dilon Danis. He might have decent bjj but his wresslin is far from great.
Is Dannis known for his grappling or BJJ?
Both are very good but Dillion struggled A LOT in his last year of bjj. He went 3-7 in his 10 with 2 of the wins being against the same person.
Sheild is fucking monster but not the best of the best. He still struggled against top comp BUT nonetheless he is a beast.
Danis has very good overall BJJ, great leg locks, and very good sub defense. Pretty crap wrestling from what I've seen.
Danis can be considered an elite grappler but there is zero reason to call him one of 'the best grapplers in the world today'.
Gary Tonon can be called one of the best grapplers today. He faced Danis twice, and beat him both times. The last time they met he submitted him pretty quickly.
Separate names with a comma.
