Solid card?

If what you are saying is true then a fight with AJ would prove that. Or it could prove Ngannou is for real. A fight settles all of these arguments. Unless you prefer arguing about who would win in a theoretical fight?

Ngannou didn't have to appear on the day of reckoning card. The Saudi's are the ones putting on all of these events and they are the ones interested in this fight.
The Saudis were also interested in Ngannou/Zhang for Dec 23, at least according to Zhang, but Ngannou wasn’t.

I don’t think there are any arguments to be settled between AJ and Ngannou. AJ wants to be champion again and Ngannou doesn’t get him closer to that goal. He might get him a few million more dollars, but AJ is getting a fortune no matter who he fights next. Zhang might even be a more lucrative option.

Not sure how this is relevant? Turning down Zhang didn't offend the Saudis. They are the ones pushing for this fight.

The argument isn't between AJ and Ngannou. It's between boxing fans who claim Ngannou can't compete with the top boxers and those who say he can. You say Ngannou only looked good because Fury looked bad. I say Francis made him look bad and beating Joshua will prove that.

AJ wants to be champion again and Ngannou doesn’t get him closer to that goal.
Disagree. Hearn said the winner of Fury/Usyk is the goal. If Fury wins, beating Wallin and then Ngannou, the guys that gave Fury the toughest fights, gives AJ the most leverage. The IBF belt is meaningless to Fury. Plus, Fury wants an Ngannou rematch. If AJ beats Francis first he eliminates that option leaving Fury with virtually no option but to box him.

He might get him a few million more dollars, but AJ is getting a fortune no matter who he fights next.

Disagree. If it doesn't matter who he fights then why was his fight taken off PPV when Dillian Whyte fell out and they had to sub in Helenius?

Zhang might even be a more lucrative option.

Zhang's fan base can't even buy the fight. Unless they are fighting in China that fight wouldn't be close to lucrative.

Ngannou does nothing but sit on his ass and wait for paychecks. If he was actually confident in himself he would get out there and fight people. Good for him to do well against an out of shape Fury but he still only has 1 boxing match while Hrgovic and Zhang have actually gone out there and put work in building up resumes for themselves. And Zhang knocking out Joyce is far more impressive than anything Ngannou has done. I think that takes away the "but Ngannou is dangerous!" argument.

I'd rather see Joshua fight someone logical who has earned it and actually has a career in the sport.

I agree. I'd also like to see Ngannou go after some of these other top heavyweights rather than sit and wait for a Fury rematch which may never materialize. Fury will be unavailable for the foreseeable future (two-way rematch clause with Usyk). I want to see him in there against a big puncher. Someone that's actually dangerous like Zhang, Joshua, or Wilder.

A loss to anyone would derail his chances at a title and people would be calling for his retirement. That’s the way boxing works.

Listen to what Hearn is saying. The winner of Fury/Usyk is the goal. Which fight gets him closer to that if the IBF title isn’t on the line? Assuming Fury wins, beating Wallin and then Ngannou, the guys that gave Fury the toughest fights, gives AJ the most leverage. Plus, Fury wants an Ngannou rematch. If AJ beats Francis first he eliminates that option leaving Fury with virtually no option but to box him.

Zhang is the least likely option. It’s all risk and no reward. Zhang is dangerous and not well known. There’s only an interim WBO title on the line and it brings him no closer to getting a Fury fight. Plus, the Saudis are looking for a big fight to replace Wilder vs Joshua. Is that really Zhang or Hrgovic with no title on the line?

I’d say you’ve probably contradicted yourself their pal. Ngannou is without doubt the least likely, and for the reasons you state. A fight with zhang does get him closer to a title fight, whether he can get fury to fight him is his biggest problem, and unlikely anyway imo

The ibf have already made noises that their no1 will get the next shot so hrgovic is the fighter to target. As you said zhang is the wbo no1 so it does get Joshua closer to a title fight if he fought/beat him. Ngannou fight does nothing for his title aspirations and look at furys poor performance against him (even though he won) has badly affected his standing as the ‘best HW in the world’. No one thinks is is anymore. Ngannou is the low reward fight and that won’t happen next, if ever

wait for fury to make joshuas defeats look stupid. nobody cares about who wins in more impressiv fashion. Joshua has 3 defeats. One to an obese man and 2 to a cruiserweight. And his best wins are 40+ year old guys. laughable
The only reason Fury stopped running from Usyk is the entire social media came down on him and he lost a lot of fans fed up with his lies , he was literally going to fight Manuel Charr as a third title defense as well before he got hammered for it and was giving out fake deadlines at the same time to Joshua while sending contracts to both Charr and Chisora first not the guy he gave deadlines to .

Nice to see some fans still seeing things with beer goggles on though . Lol

Francis won't take this fight, he'll wait for Fury.
He makes more in the Joshua fight , the reason why he’s calling out Joshua now is Wilder lost he now has a lane if Joshua wants that fight .

As Hearn stated, the goal is to fight the winner of Fury/Usyk – which they clearly prefer Fury. While they have stated the IBF title matters, the WBO has never been mentioned.

The IBF title is a goal but as Hearn has recently stated, a lot has to happen for the title to be on the line in March. There are too many variables for them to bank an event on. They would probably target a summer date for that. Zhang has also stated that they are now targeting a Parker match. Those two statements should tell you everything you need to know. The March date is an event that the Saudi's set up. They are the ones pushing for an Ngannou match to replace Wilder. They want a big splash for their season closer. Are Hearn and Joshua really going to pass that up?

What did that make MMA when Ray Mercer blew Sylvia out in 11 seconds?

Like someone above me said. There are too many differences. Besides Tim being far from anything competitive. The two actually had a gentlemens agreement that they would just box. And then Tim threw a low kick straight out the gate lol. Then caught the bomb.
I also dont think that Fury took NNN serious at all. He came in fat and looked really sloppy.

Agreed with everything you said. Well put. Im disappointed that WIlder loss. Iv been wanting to see the 3 of them dance. Luckily, we got to see Wilder/Fury. But would love to see one of them, or even both of them at some point fight Joshua.

Mercer had been quickly finished by Kimbo a few years earlier and Sylvia was not the reigning champ. In MMA it was more a matter of a boxer landing the hail mary before the MMA guy took him down. Francis stuck around with Fury the whole fight. Its not the same thing.

Running from a 210 lbs featherfisted guy. yeah sure. he was waiting for the saudi money. thats all. and he got it. and now he is gonna smash the guy that smashed the stiff traumatized bodybuilder twice, become the first undisputed champ in the 4 belt era, stay undefeated and make 100 million doing so.

Meanwhile AJ.
one warm up fight for Wilder -> fights fucking Franklin
oh not quite ready yet, lets have another one --> fights Helenius (40 year old guy that lost to Wilder inside a minute)
oh well still not ready, lets fight the guy AJ sparred 150 rounds and beat in the amateurs twice. hahahah. Oh luckily Wilder lost, now AJ wont have to pretend he ever wanted to fight him.

Wilder got Absolutely clowned by a guy that was recently being referred to as a gatekeeper. He’s fuckin rubbish, always has been and has lost to any proven competition he’s faced. He’s had possibly the most manufactured career of any modern HW and idiots like you bought in to it.

His resume is full of cans even though he was WBC champ years and nearly 50 fights? We all know why, he talked a big game on social media and trawled the lower end of the top 50 to defend his title against. He wasn’t ducked, he did the ducking, whilst the rest of the division fought each other. I’m pretty sure you even realise that but we all have our coping mechanisms

Big Frank catches Aj's chin and pulls off the upset. AJ aint been confident in his chin since Ruiz put him down.
