It doesn't matter -- he's cheating the system. He's CLEARLY "indefinitely suspended". If he wants his suspension to keep moving, he needs to be actively tested.

USADA needs to immediately freeze his indefinite suspension until he's tested again. Let's say he's not tested for 6 more months -- then when they come to an agreement with him, he gets 6 months added on top of that.

a 30 year old 6'4 220 lbs professional athlete doing those lifts isn't that impressive to be honest. Definitely isn't that abnormal that it screams roids.

if jones has left the testing pool, he would have to serve the entire extent of his suspension to be eligible to fight again. not sure what's the issue here. if he's not tested while being in the pool, then yeah, that's a bit shady

The issue is that you need to be tested WHILE suspended, or your suspension is frozen.

So let's say you have Fighter A with a 2-year suspension, but he leaves the testing pool for a year during his suspension -- his suspension is frozen for that year, and doesn't tick away. So in total Fighter A will be out for 3 years!

But let's say another Figher B would get a 2-year suspension, but drags out the proceedings. They could leave the testing pool for a year before finally reaching an agreement on the 2 years. However, because they were not suspended during that year, no suspension was frozen, and they are given credit for time served. Thus Fighter B is only out for 2 years total.

Both Figher A and Fighter B received 2-year suspensions, and both fighters were out of the testing pool for a full year. However, Fighter A ended up being out for 3 years total, while Fighter B was only out for 2 years.

This example highlights how Jon Jones ("Fighter B") could cheat the system to avoid testing while waiting to reach a suspension agreement.

You're right, steroid freaks are fun to watch. But if you care about MMA as a sport, which means we need fair, even playing field competition, you can't have that shit.

You care way too much about this shit. He’s stilll suspended and when his suspension is finally up, he will still need to be random tested leading up to whenever his next fight is. He’s not going to be able to fight again for a few years at least, and you seem like you’re losing sleep that a guy that won’t be able to fight for a few years, hasn’t been tested in a couple months.

Is there a source for this? Doesn't make sense to be sparred from testing while suspended, while suspended you should still be in the pool otherwise you are a retired fighter. I mean, I suppose then you get your contract suspended anyways and must be in for six months prior to fighting.....
