Also seems.isis is setting oil wells on fire as they retreat in these ping pong battles (russia wiill fix then later isis retake)

-huge airstrikes in deera civilian areas far from frontlines as russia etc punish local rebels for their gains

-iran says no to u.s boots on ground ,both they and regime reject safe zones unless samctioned by assad ie never or with stipulations that make them useless

-isis launch offfensive in deera vs fsa

Doubt it
Assad and iran say the want whole country(really should just say iran at this stage)
russia and u.s cant commit but want kurds to die en masse to take out isis for us
The turks and iraq goverment object
The rebels are still pissed at the kurds handing aleppo to regime
And the kurds leaders themselves seem determined to piss off everyone including their own people!

That's a funny way of remembering things. The rebels were more interested in fighting each other and shelling Sheikh Maqsood then they were fighting the Tiger forces and Liwa Al Quds as they advanced on Aleppo. The YPG can't be blamed for attacking them to stop the shelling even if it helped the SAA retake the city.

Agree the infighting was a factor too but
The suprise ypg attaack (no doubt rranged with russia whod recently been in talks with them ) during the inital collapse was another factor too...
...a sudden large scale assault from an unexpected side on an already stretched thin and disorgainsoed series of groups cant be ruled out as a contributing factor

CIA backed aid to rebels in Idlib grinds to a halt as the rebels are seen unable to hold on to the weapons given to them due to increased JFS pressure as Turkey has pretty much abandoned Idlib and trying to get rebel factions backed by them to relocate to the northern Aleppo front where they can operate under Turkish protection.

IS attack on PMU boi's near Tal Afar (west of Mosul) does not go quite as planned when their front loader is disabled before it reaches the fortifications it is supposed to punch through and daeshbags get stuck in a ditch where most of them are liquidated.

He seems more like someone who works for some American foreign policy think tank (because no one that doesn't work in government actually pays attention to what they have to say or even agrees with them at least in terms of the Syrian war.)

Just pro-rebel fantasies that end up with a lot of money wasted and zero progress. Because throwing money at ideological problems suddenly gives people the motivation to fight.

SAA advancing east/NE in northern Aleppo in order to reash YPG held area to block Turkish forces from advancing further.
