How far do you think Paulo Costa can go in the MW division?

He is already 4-0 (4 KOs) in the UFC with notable wins against Uriah Hall and Johny Hendricks

until he faces a strong grappler

Top 5 maybe even top 3. The division is aging and Romero and Rockhold are leaving for LHW. Jacare will retire soon. MW is about to be the thinnest it's been since Anderson was champion in the early days

He'll get exposed by Weidman.

He's coincidentally the second coming of Uriah Hall.

A more realistic question is which will occur first?

His first loss?

His first failed USADA test?

Top 5 without a doubt
Once jacare retire and luke and yoel go to 205,he ll almost be there, and with a win over weidman he would be next in line imo

He could become champ. His style makes him a fan favorite and for that we thank him. He walks you down and throws bombs.

We will see if The Chris takes the fight... But his skills and looks should make him a lot of money...

MW champ before Israel takes away the belt. Wiedman will not beat him.

Uriah hall could've knocked him out if his game plan wasn't to back up against the cage the entire fight with his hands down and let your opponent tee off on you

He dropped him during the fight and a heavy puncher like dan Henderson from years back would've finished Costa.

as long as he trens hard he'll make it to the top

I think he loses to Whittaker, Romero and Gastelum. He should fuck up Weidman pretty easily.

most tested fighter in the UFC. How much more can they do? Accept the bitter truth that this is his natty physique and some men are just born superior to you.

I'd like to see him against a strong grappler like Weidman or Jacare, he shrugged off Big Rigg's takedowns
easily but the size difference was huge and Johny has been regressing badly for a while. If Costa can deal with
grapplers adequately then he can be in that top 3 or 4 at MW, perhaps even champ.

If the Weidman fight happens it will be a great indicator of his place in the division. At least more so than now

I'd like to see him face another fighter of Hall's caliber before getting the big fight. Hall landed like 6 jabs in a row during the fight and Costa just stood there clueless until strawberry jam poured out of his mouth. Maybe somebody like a Brad Tavares, Brunson, or Branch (if he isn't fighting Jacare). Wouldn't mind him fighting Elias Theodorou's boring ass to see how he deals with pressure and maybe to knock him out.
