Might as well name every baseball movie while we're at it.

42 was pretty good.

It's gets as much love as Fever Pitch with Jimmy Fallon and Drew Barrymore

I think I only loved it because I hate baseball and it was so bad that it made people hate baseball for at least 2-3 minutes.

Plus Keanu Reeves man, it's Keanu Reeves.

He's no Freddie Prinze Jr in Summer Catch

Also the Bench Warmers gets honorable mention just because of the Beef Stew scene and Rob Schneider is married to Molly Sims in the movie. Which is as unlikely as Henry Rowengartner striking out that dude with the floater pitch. Hasn't been done since Scuffy Mcgee

Yeah. I almost added it. But I chose the Babe since Goodman is the man.

Also didn't add the scout, since Brendon Fraser gargles my taint.

I love Encino Man, I'm not afraid to admit it.

Monkey Bone was fun, but I am also a big fan of Cruel World.

on that list Blast from the Past has the best plot idea. Kid get raised in a doomsday cult bunker. Gets released on the modern world, falls in love with a post hot Alicia Silverstone..

Amazing how Silverstone was so hot in 1995 and how fast her hotness left her. Even by the time Blast from the Past came out in 1999, she was the present day Frank Mir version of the chick in clueless.

Dude kicked ass on a few episodes of Scrubs. Seriously brought the feels.

he was a fucking ghost in one of those episodes

I found it thoroughly enjoyable, Bas was great.

It's all right. I don't like Kevin James a whole lot, but he did the job and was fairly likeable.

I was surprised that Mayhem Miller didn't piss me off in it, as I saw his Lucky Patrick interview with Ariel before I saw the movie... But he actually did a good job, with the acting and with the fight choreography. I feel strange admitting that.

No love for School Ties?

Funny you posted this.

I watched it for the first time (most of it, at least) at the gym last night.

It's a fun watch.

Never seen it, but Kevin James is funny. People like giving him a hard time on here.

Here Comes the Boom is a fun movie. It's definitely made with the mma fan in my mind, which is cool and which I'm sure has a lot to do with James' involvement as he is a big fan and likely made sure that this treated the sport with an inherent respect and appreciation while also mining it for comedic value.

Bas was great. He appeared on the King of Queens a couple of times and killed in on there too.

Awesome cameos too. Mayhem was fun. Chael's phantom tap was a nice wink, wink to the audience. Thought a botched opportunity in terms of going meta was that they should have had Rich Franklin play a math teacher at James' school. Great to see Rogan as well.

If I could fault it for something- and let's face it, it's fun but it's not a stellar sports comedy- it's the fact that I didn't find it particularly funny. That's not to say that aggravated me. I liked the storyline, the character were likable, and I love MMA which I thought the film did a good job of portraying.

That said, outside of Fonzie and some amusing segments, I didn't think it was that funny and as a comedy, I know that's what it was aiming for.

Gary Valentine is the shit but his scene came off as more depressing than funny lol.

Cool fight choreography, solid cameos, and a generally likable film. Not much to complain about at all.

No love for School Ties?

I wanted to post the clip of Family Guy when Brian recalls his time at college and we get a cutaway to him seeing "Go Home Dog!" written on the wall of his dormitory and he yells, "Cowards!" just like Fraser does.

But I couldn't find the damn thing. Youtube dropping the ball.

Interestingly, as per that list, a lot of my friends think Little Big League is far superior to Rookie of the Year.

I never saw it though so I can't judge.

Its a good movie to laugh at and not take seriously

Way better then the recent adam sandler flixs
